Did anyone changed their size for the rear tyre.Mine has came with MRF and they are crappy ones. Also the rear one is too thick for our needs.
I did read about tyres talks but dont remember which page was it shared so either if anyone knows that do share the link of that discussion.
      Thanks.
Get apolo alpha h1, they are nearly as good as the metzelers and costs about 10k ₹ for the set.

Nopes. 11:XX shows up correctly. Problem is only with 10:XX which shows up as 0:XX only.

            Hi guys

I have recently acquired D400 UG Green and have done about 850 kms. Few words on my experience. It's an absolutely a tour machine. Love the punch it offers. I read through most of the pages in this thread however, still lot to learn about the machine. After the first service, felt the bike smooth and the grear change was slick.

Only wished that we had 15 litre tank capacity instead of 13 liters that would have given us comfortable 300 kms tank range on highways.
Following up on the recent ECU update that was provided by Bajaj where the primary instrument cluster now shows the Gear indicator and Time. I welcome this since I found that it is bit inconvenient to droop low to secondary display.

Congratulations Sri. Welcome to the Dominators Club. You're very right, the GPI and tell tale lights are placed way back, it's hard to have a glance, drooping down would mean, we can miss what's in front at times, so that's indeed a bummer at times. Nonetheless, you should love the bike. Hope to see you sometime riding it up to Ooty. Ride safe!

              Cheers!

              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

No need to worry its basically your break pads nothing else. Ask the SC guy to rub bikes brake pads during 1 service

Happened to me as well after the first service. All they have to do it is take off the headlamp fairing and stick a double sided absorbing patch at all connecting points. I got mine done and now there aren't any vibrations. Go to svc and insist on this and don't pay a dime for it.

Coming to the actual issue, I've been hearing a very harsh rattling noise from the front headlamp assembly, above 5000-6000 RPM. The speed is not of concern, only the RPMs are. The noise only comes up during hard acceleration, no matter if it is from a stand still or a rolling acceleration. At first I thought the visor could be loose, but it was rock solid.

The bike has never been dropped, abused or taken apart, only a few hard acceleration runs.

Any help figuring out the problem would be appreciated.

Additionally, I'm planning on a few mods, like tall windscreen, bashplate, handlebar risers, pillion backrest, knuckle guards and hydraulic clutch replacement.

I'd like to know your preference of vendors for the parts.

Sorry for any errors, this is my first post on the forum.

                  Thanks!

Congrats on your new bike. I went through your old but brilliant write ups on restoration of Yamaha bikes RXZ 1999, RX 100 1993. Hats off to your patience and the way you took care of even the minute details of the bike .

So being a hardcore Yamaha fan, what made you choose a bike from Bajaj stable? And why Dominar in particular?

Yes, you can take up the route from bandipur. They are permitting the uphill for all vehicles. but the downhill from ooty to masinagudi is restricted to locals only.

Can someone please update on the current on-road price in Mumbai with 1+4 and 5+5 insurance. Suryoday Bajaj is quoting 2.18 lac for 1+4 and additional 7.8k for 5+5.

I don't know about the pricing, but get the insurance done from outside, it will be cheaper.
