I bought new dominar one month ago and has covered almost 1400km.first there was noise while gear shifting from first to second to third.but after the first service it has reduced.the only problem I faced was with the rear brakes.i feel like they are completely useless and day by day the rear brakes are getting worse.

I bought the 2019 UG 2 weeks back and I am facing similar issues with rear brake. I thought something is wrong with my bike ,but seems others have these issues as well.
I am planning to get my rear brake cleaned and brake pads scratched with sandpaper for some extra bit in my first service.
BTW does anyone have recommendations for a service centre for my dominar first free service?
        TIA

Sometimes my rear brake does work but sometimes it doesnt.i went to showroom twice and they couldn't fix these.first they told it was the error with my abs sensor and they cleared it.yesterday I called them and they told me that they will report these issue to South service head and bring the bike when they say.

Damn.. it's so hard to get Apollo Alpha H1 tyres for Dominar, I have been trying since 2 weeks. I live at Kalyan, so anyone know any dealer who can get me these tyres at affordable price near kalyan, dombivali, thane ? I have been calling many centers for this but no 1 has this in stock and they are unsure when will they get it and it's high time for me to change my tyres.
And just to let you guys know important is to have Anti Puncture treatment, I have posted few pics, I had almost 6 nails in my tyre and that too I noticed accidentally. No air loss nothing, but only thing is that you should notice/inspect your tyres time to time.
And if anyone knows any dealer for apollo tyres who can get me Apollo Alpha H1 please let me know or just tell me, is it a good idea to buy tyres from online stores ?Click image for larger version

Can you share your your experience with the Rolon X ring chain and sprocket set? Also aren't the stock brake lines already steel braided?

Planning to install Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 along with EBC Sintered front brake pads to improve their breaking performance. Already using SBS ceramic pads for the rear and it's better than stock.

                  Overall experience
                  Superb machine.!!!
Initially u all complain about milage but actual fact is, if you are coming from a 125-150cc carburetor bike, it gets time to adjust with FI and power management.
If u ride without seeing speedometer and just by feel, bike ll fool you, be surprised to see yourself speeding (15-20% higher)in highways or in mild city traffic.
In my case i did 100kmph+ cornering In highways. found myself zapping at 70- 80kmph in city limits.
Experienced on the way all U- turn approaching auto rekshaws, two wheelers feared to attempt crossing (earlier I used to get compromise myself and break in my p150 and allow them to cross)
Oncoming vehicles (including inter city buses) used go their left most side during my cornering in two lane highways (even though I was in the middle of my lane)
Same with the upcoming pedestrians, they just got down from roads (some childrens got stunned)
Found myself scrapping silencer in some hair pin bends.
All these where with pillion and she also not had any clue about speeding.she is a music lover.
After all these I just ptacticed watching speedometer regularly and smoother wrist moment to avoid sudden acceleration which was panicking pedestrians in city, which resulted in good milage and clam riding habit.(which took almost 10k kms to override/satisfy the urge to conrner and speed god mode).

                  Discomforts

Need to shift 1st gear frequently for big speed breaker or below 19kmph
Slow speed cornering needs skill( <50kmph)
Turning radius is more, affects off-road maneuvering.
                  Bike is smoothest in 70-80kmph
Above 85kmph vibs felt@ foot peg, tank, handle bars but livable.
Above 95 kmph vibe frequency changes which feels better compared to 90kmph.
Fuel economy with pillion+minor luggage can be achieved only @85- 90kmph in highways.(if single it may go upto 100)
In city or local riding u can gain milage by riding at 65-70kmph ( 6th gear supposed to be engaged above 69kmph as per bike manual)
In a straight road it can cruise at 65kmph and will return 34milage(I don't recommend)

Golden rims are headache to clean and maintain.

Chain cleaning and lubing is compulsory.(500-600km interval for highway,300-400km for dusty city/rural roads)
I found tubicore 205 graphite chain spray useful.(thanks to sahyadri moto, now I can at least clean it @ any local shop without any worry)
                  {Gear oil also works well in highways}

ABS is a life saver, bike comes to 0 from tripple speed within time and straight line stability is very good. but then only if your tyres are in good condition(invest in good tyres after stock one lasts).if u want(for off roading) , Disable ABS by removing fuse underneath rider seat(this make bike speedometer dead). While abs kicks-in some harsh pulsating feel at hand and leg felt, which claims to be normal.ABS warning light in secondary display should go off once bike reaches just 4kmph speed.. if remains for higher speed get it checked.

Slipper clutch presence u all appreciate in those ghat section twists and hair pin bends

LED headlights very usable only in 4 lane highways, I recommend aux lights for better visibility in hilly , single roads
I recommend all to ride in pilot lights ON mode so even in AHO u can change to low beam during day time.

Fuel guage- if you are riding continuously consider one less bar left for correct fuel analysis or just switch off and on the ignition key once.(no need to hold the clutch, but try it in straight road when u have enough momentum and no traffic).
In my bike first bar drops at 55km, 2nd at 100km in highways.

For better braking results go for steel braided tubes and also change pads to EBC make.
Use 70(front)-30%(back) breaking technique for better breaking.
Proper clutch play gives smoother gear shifting except 1st gear.

Moment of Power loss during acceleration after a gear change is quite common in sunny days. Just open and close the fuel lid before starting.(always try to park in shades)

Don't turn off engine after long run when fan is still running, wait for 10-15sec and then turn off.(this can be sensed only by sound)

During cold start keep bike idle (without rising acceleration ) for 15-20sec to achieve good oil circulation and engine warm up which ensures smoother engine.

Heat felt at legs is common in sunny days, to avoid it plan your city ride to non peak hours if possible.Don't fill coolant to max level at cold conditions. The sight glass shows is a expansion chamber and 50% -70% is the ideal level which ll turn into full once the bike runs for more than 10mins. And it's normal(hot condition).

                  That's all from my side..
                  Keep riding safe..
                  Thank u.

Pls consider other good tyre options also.
I am using H1 at front(7k km ). It lost it initial time performance and now it is as same as MRF. also I don't think it ll last for another 7k(only 2mm tread left as per TWI)

I am not sure about stock break cable.(even if so quality won't be that much good compared to aftermarket one)
About chain sprocket- its going good. Very less wear and tear compared to stock.
Less noisy and chain slackness holds for long time if cleaning and lubing are done time to time.
No jerks, smoother ride as of now.

Happy to know you upgraded to good break pads. It works best with best tyres like M5, Pirielli DR 2.

                      Happy riding..

Rider backrest frame is fabricated in local welding shop and then cushion work done at local seat work shop.
Supported beneath rider seat fastening by using lengthy bolt and washer.
Regarding saddle stay. It's actually Yamaha rx100 crash guard. Just welded it to a 4mm strong plate and holes are drilled to match the rear grab rail mounts.

Rear rack is a TVS excel heavy duty carrier. I just made it short and again welded to thick plate and positioned to grab rail Mounting screwes.
Longer TVS Allen bolts are used to fasten all (including carbon racing back rest)
Top rack and saddle stay are interconnected to make rigid and strong by using small pipe (some local RE rear seat luggage rack was available in dismantle condition and I used it for mine).
Whole set up weights around 8kg.
Total cost was around 3.5- 4k
The saddle stay is supported to rear foot leg like in other aftermarket saddle stay

one side support weld got detached during leh trip which I came to know after returning home, caused rear body pannel connecting bracket crack. May be because of excessive load as I travelled with pillion.

Overall it's looks good for me(some people criticized as milkwala bike in fb[emoji23][emoji23]) and serves it's purpose.

Its always best to do PDI from ourside also.don't sign any papers before u confirm bike is ok.
                          Coolant , engine oil level.
Confirm the chain sprocket alignment and even slack with the mechanic (I just lost my stock sprocket early due to this).
                          Odo reading.
Ride the bike and confirm abs warning light goes off once bike reach just 4km speed.if more then ABS won't work properly.
Let them fill petrol in front of u.
RC card, insurance, invoice and manual book.
                          Any freebies.

Took the delivery of my dominar on saturday.Regarding the Pdi i already had done that on friday evening when the shipment came in.
Checked the oil level, coolant, battery, documents, all electricals and everything before signing the documents before delivery.
Not crossing beyond 4k mark within the runin period, this new green shade surely catches eyes on the road.Havent felt the need for handlebar raiser so far
in this new variant but with the time will see if required. Will be changing the crash guard for sure and few other things that i already have got before the purchase of my bike.
Guys any suggestions on which crash guard to go for as there are lot many to offer for dominars and stock ones given by bajaj is completely useless.

Not crossing beyond 4k mark within the runin period, this new green shade surely catches eyes on the road.Havent felt the need for handlebar raiser so far

The stock crash guard is the strongest does the decent job(yes it cannot protect tank fiber body but radiator is safe) and also avoids vibration.
Better research well and go for aftermarket products. Recently many reporting Allen bolts getting sheared with aftermarket crash guards at engine fastening point.
