I have 2018 batch, and yup, both Trip 1 and 2 resets at 1k km. But unlike you mentioned, in mine, I can manually reset both Trip 1 and Trip2.Originally posted by ginzon View PostTrip meter resets at 1k kms.. Both Trip 1 & 2.. Though I was able to reset it to zero.Originally posted by ginzon View PostMine is 2018 batch too...

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Got the first service done at 500 kms.
Oil changed
Oil filter changed
Rear suspension changed to soft dampening
Alignment issue is still a bit concerning but better than before (pull to the right)
Encountered a new problem though, the main display wouldn't reflect the engine check directly when switching on ignition. Rather it ran some codes as if doing a self test when connected to a laptop. Did complain and the svc guy said that it's a known issue with the display. Such a behaviour is from a malfunctioned display console. 'Malfunctioned ?' on a brand new motorbike that hasn't even seen the rains or the extremities yet. He was upfront with a replacement under warranty. Gotta wait till the part arrives. Should I be disappointed or agitated is the question but I'm just gonna wait for the replacement first.
Any one else with this kind of an issue yet on the '19 Dom's ?

I thought 2019 Dominar was tuned to be on a softer side compared to 2018 models. What's your bikes monoshock setting now 2 or 3?Originally posted by rookster View PostRear suspension changed to soft dampening2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I have a similar setup … I have got the chain clips removed to shorten the length of chain. No issues till now, have run for 2000 KM till date.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----Originally posted by sman999 View PostSome of you guys have been asking about a 42teeth driven Sprocket mod. I got the Rolon 42 teeth sprocket and fitted on to Fernanda.
Pros:
- The first change that I noticed was that she was running on lower rpm's for higher speeds. 100kmph usually comes around @5500 on the odo now its achieved at about @5000rpm. This will result in a better fuel economy.
- I didn't feel any power loss in the lower gears 1,2&3. I'm 52kgs btw. I haven't tried with a pillion yet.
Cons:
- The chain is on the other edge of the adjuster now. As there are 3 teeths less than the stock, the chain had to be tightened to a level that only the last 3 points in the adjuster are left out. (btw the chain is 2500kms old)
- The lack of pickup was felt at higher gears. Say you are cruising @100kmph and you slow down to about 60kmph. With the 42 teeth sprocket it couldnt pull from 60kmph at 6th gear, it knocks, you ll have to downshift and then pick up the pace. To me is not a big concern.
Not sure though how long will the chain hold with the last 3 points in the adjuster after a while. I'll keep it posted about further info as I experience things.
And don't ask me about the top speed as I'll never test it out.
Duke 200 sprocket is a direct fit. though not advisable as it will alter the gearing ratio's.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Booked my dominar today at khivraj bajaj,Chennai. Will take around 45days to deliver. Sleepless nights started [emoji16]
This is my split up of OTR of the bike as per them.
Can someone put some light on this whether the incidental charges which includes handling and rto charges(sales person said so) should be charged or not.
Cheers.

Incidental charges nothing but Handling Charges written otherway around. Vehicles delivered to them are from the factory direct, and in no way are we supposed to entertain handling or "incidental charges". You can inquire with them, what's with the incidental charges and request them to provide a thorough answer. If they, slobber up saying, saar vandi handling charges, fitting charges saar, truck lendhu unloading charges, ellarumae idhu charge panranga saar" you have all rights to pressure them to remove that amount from your quote.Originally posted by Maverick_BOSS View PostBooked my dominar today at khivraj bajaj,Chennai. Most of the accessories that come with the bike are paid for in the Ex-Showroom price of the vehicle itself.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

I always calculate the road tax if I find it fishy.
A 110cc Activa costs more than 125cc Access in Pune despite having lower ex-showroom price.
How's that for loot!!!Regards,

Sad indeed, right. But, can we help it, yes. By actively checking what's odd in the list, and in most cases, people don't bat an eyelid to it. Though the enlightened ones do.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostThank God they don't add - Oogling charges or drooling charges.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
The issue will fix if you tell them to reset the console. No need to replace at all. Even i had the console issue which appears after resetting the service indicator. The SVC told me same in the beginning to replace console blah blah blah, but later senior tech person came and reset the console. Now everything works normally.
