Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I'm not sure if that's possible, one due to balancing issues. Have heard that the reason why they moved the front disks to the left hand side is due to the extra weight of the dual exhaust. Putting the new exhaust on thr RHS will make the bike lean heavily towards the right is my assumption.Originally posted by leedonotrix View PostHi Guys! Has anyone tried installing the new dual-port exhaust in the old Dominar(2017/2018)?
If yes, could anyone tell me the cost of the entire installation including the exhaust?
Also, if anyone has faced any issues with the process?Wind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I was speaking to the folks at Khivraj Bajaj, Kasturba road (Blore), they said it would cost me around 16k.Originally posted by leedonotrix View PostHi Guys! Has anyone tried installing the new dual-port exhaust in the old Dominar(2017/2018)?

But this conversation took place around a month back, when the bike just hit the showroom. So it might be wrong as well.
Also, USD forks would come up to 20k, since we might have to change the rims as the disk would come on the left
I'm not sure how true these are. But this is what they told me

Well, so far as I know, the front rotor was moved to the left because of the USD forks. I may be wrong though.Originally posted by sanjeet286 View PostI'm not sure if that's possible, one due to balancing issues. Yeah i have noticed it. The console has Auto Brightness Adjustment just like our smart phones.Originally posted by dip_avvy View PostFound something interesting just now.
The main console has two brightness modes. When the bike is under strong light or sunlight, the display brightens up, and when that source is removed, the display dims. I checked again using flash light of my phone.
Interesting. How many of you know of it?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I'm closing to the 500 km mark. What a modest bike this Dominar is. It'll act all sober as a typical commuter when you want it to and next instant it can be an adrenaline pushing junkie. Each day, each kilometer is an experience with this one. The mid torque band is so intriguing yet I'm trying containing those horses. With each ride even the suspension is getting more accommodating. I could go on and on about this motorbike but I'll reserve it till the first service is done.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I doubt that because the exhaust of Suzuki Intruder 150 is dual port and quite heavy still the bike has both disc's on right side. As we know, the front USD forks of new Dominar is borrowed from KTM and all KTM bikes have front disc on left side. I think Bajaj didn't wanted to invest time and money for re-engineering the forks so they went ahead with KTM's stock configuration.Originally posted by sanjeet286 View PostI'm not sure if that's possible, one due to balancing issues. My total daily run is approx 12 Km & it is now a common scenario now. Bike has completed 11000 Km & i have never changed the petrol filer .
