Please check the BS4 petrol line, that needs cleaning on a regular basis. I think that is the culprit.

    ECU version - 117
    Odo - 6K Kms.

    Hi All,

It has been months when I was away from xbhp.

So coming to the problem, I faced the same problem of bike not starting when bike was heated. All cooling system was working fine like coolant level and radiator fan, etc.

Went to Kolkata's best mechanic (as per knowledge) and got the problem resolved within couple of hours. It has been more than 3000 KMs now and problem has never reoccurred. Current ODO - 12400 KMs.

Following were done to get it fixed:
    a. Throttle body clean.
    b. Fuel filter changed.
    c. BS4 pipeline cleaned.
    d. Fuel Lid of the petrol tank cleaned.

Bike is running like charm since then.

To the 2019 Dominar owners, if any of you feel a buzzing sound at lower RPM, check your secondary display. That sound is coming from there.

ECU update is for ABS or for Fuel injection unit

Also I am planning to get a mobile holder from bajaj only.
Windshield from Bajaj? Also a mobile holder from bajaj? I haven't seen those, nor knew about them either.

Well, I'm confused , guess you are right, ECU has nothing to do with the functioning of ABS.

In bangalore bajaj is giving these additional accessories like:
              Windshield for 2500
              Mobileholder for 2k approx
              Backrest for -2k approx
Number plate holder for front -350

Red is expected to come with the BS VI later this year. No specific dates though.

                      2) The gear shift are smooth but makes thud sound while engaging first gear.
                      3) The Rear brakes are almost non-existent feeling. I really need some feedback from rear brake.
                      4) Vibes are felt on right foot pegs, near 3k and near 4k RPM. Tolerable but not you'll like in long tours.
                      5) Mirrors vibrate on same RPM, almost impossible to see what vehicle is coming behind.

                      break - in
                      1) Ask the SC to check the battery. It shouldn't take multiple cranks to start the engine.
                      2) first gear thud is expected. For remaining gears, ensure you shift at 4k rpm. It's generally butter smooth at those rpms.
                      3) same problem for me too and for most other owners. Need to figure out another solution, and not sure if a weak rear brake is there by design
                      4) ask SC to recheck the foot pegs setup for any loose connections, but the vubs go once you pick up the gears
                      5) tighten the screws. I have the 2018 version and the screws do get loose every few months. One tighten and they are set for the next few months.

If you are shorter than 5'10", then try out carbon racing. Though few are now complaining that it has resulted in the headlight assembly becoming impacted (gaps being seen).

They have signed up with Autologue for the accessories.

In bangalore, few showrooms work with Hyperrider for a set of accessories.

As per my knowledge, there are two ecus. The one which is updated as 117(ABS) /118 (non abs) is the FI unit.

ABS one is left untouched till there are any major issues.

                              Hi,
My Dominar is 1 year 4 months old and the battery is dead. Even last week I had a 80 kms drive and it was fine. So not sure how it went kaput suddenly.
I understand battery has 18 months warranty. Has anyone claimed warranty for the battery? Bajaj service center guys say that I need to go to Exide directly and claim the warranty. Any experience and feedback, please?
                              Regards
                              Dinesh

I think the service center guy is right. Not only Bajaj, for any vehicle manufacturer, the battery claims are directly handled my battery manufacturer. The same I guess will be noted in User manual. Check on the user manual and confirm.
