The bifurcation i shall only be able to give you once i get the delivery which will take some time, as i booked it on the 1st of Feb.

Shall post an update once that happens, also i am visiting Suryoday Bajaj today evening to clear some of the queries that were raised here in respect to the PDI process, the ECU update, etc.

So i gave a visit to the showroom as mentioned earlier, and Arif, the guy who is currently taking care of the showroom (they dont have a manager) and the no of Mr.Anil More, the Bajaj GM for Mumbai is showing up on both the Suryoday Showroom.

    1) He told me that the 2016 bikes had issues and all of them have been addressed with ECU update on all the Jan 2017 models onwards.

    2) The insurance is a 1 year HDFC comprehensive insurance policy being given to all, with the IDV being RS.1,43,668.

    3) He promised and assured me that when the bikes comes in the tempo from the Bhiwandi Warehouse, he shall inform me in advance so i can come and look at the unloading, the PDI done at the showroom, then the PDI done at the Suryoday workshop which is 4km away from the showroom and also he will let me do my own PDI, only post which he will then finish the paperwork for me and then i could take my bike.

    3) He told me the final cost would be reduced to the below which i have highlighted and he shall minus the cost of Accessories in the final invoice for me, so i shall only end up paying Rs.1,72,824 in total all inclusive. Damnnnn, that's a really good saving compared to the extra amount the Mumbai guys are paying.

A salesperson from Amba bajaj, Bangalore called me to check if I'm buying... I did the test ride from them on december. I said I already bought from another dealership.
I asked about the waiting period these days, he confirmed that the waiting period has come down to 10 days, since we can book directly through dealerships going forward.
Looks like they are having sufficient stock in the yard, and you just have to wait for regn formalities to complete after booking.

But in the event of a puncture, how is the tyre repair shop supposed to repair it? for normal punctures I know they would not need to remove the wheel. But what if there is a need to remove the wheel.

Any ideas? And can you get a main stand installed?
don't worry you can get a paddock stand with just 5000 Rs to keep her straight (useful for chain lube, cleaning)

while you book online, the list of dealers those sell dominar 400 in your city will appear and you can select one of it.

Even at around 3000, contact GA engineering for paddock stands. Their product is quite good, using it for around 2 years.

what you told is true, Jai Bajaj Sales person Deepak is taking care of Dominar sales in adyar showroom. He tells that to all customers that their person will ride to rto for registration.Even he would say you cannot choose your bike from the lot, since one particular bike (engine no. chassis no.) is allotted to you by Bajaj. That's not true. If you selected a colour, (say white), after your booking batch bikes come, you can check & select any one of the white colour dominar. You need to talk to them stubborn and convince them.

If I buy a bigger bike it would be just for the joy of owning, pride, and speed. Wouldn't make financial sense to own one, then. Thus, I'll upgrade from 2lakh bikes only to a liter bike or a hypersport. Have my eye on the Busa and the Fireblade.

I obey all the traffic rules and abide by the law. However, If I'm ever stopped for the AHO LEDs by any traffic policemen for penalty; I will ensure that those lagoons get good download of the AHO safety feature and sarcastic insult if they act dumb.

I agree with you on the high beam part. But with our cops it's almost never a fair case..

That apart, I find that the AHO (i.e. even low beam) might not be apt in a country like India where the two wheeler traffic is immense. Imagine with all the two wheelers and their lights on during the day, i think it is going to be more distracting than helpful.
This setup makes sense in places where two wheeler traffic is minimum and helps spotting a two wheeler easily. But on our crowded roads with slow moving traffic I feel it is unnecessary to keep running with the headlamps on during the day.
On the highways or during rains/fog though I'd recommend one keeps the headlight on on their two wheeler during the day.

The truth has been told brother. I can confirm from my experience that AHO is almost useless in city limits. If the pedestrians and basically anyone blatantly ignores the big-ass vehicles in broad daylight while they squid their way around, why do we think they'll care about the puny headlights? No one cares to be honest. They'll still jump into your vehicle to cross the road.

On highways, it has been a life saver for me at least one though, so it has my vote.

                          Regards.

Well, in my books, wealth creation is having enough money for the things you desire without sacrificing the things you require.
