I spoke to these guys at motospark, they seemed very knowledgeable and told me it's likely a sensor that's gone bad and the senior service advisor at popular bajaj also said something similar. But yes if there is any chance of getting this fixed it's going to be the kevraj guys but they are generally very packed.

It all fell in place when you said Popular Bajaj :-) . They have a special place amongst the DOCB folks. But yes, Kasturba Road seems to be the one which is better than the rest. But if you have found a dependable mechanic close by, take the bike to him for all checks/repairs, and to Bajaj SC for thr scheduled service of changing oil and filters.

In the fag end of April I booked a 18 dominar in red and test rode the bike, after almost nine years this would be my first bike, I used to own the very first batch of Thunderbird twinspark had a great deal of fun back then at that time I was eighteenish so anything with two wheels would have been fun. One of the key things keeping me from going back to Re was the atrocious prices of the 500s and the redeculious waite time for the 650.

Coming back to the point in hand I got my hands on the red dominar on 27th of April 7PM didnt use it after till the next day, before I go any further a bit back end info on the PDI EXPERIENCE the rear disks were scored on a brand new bike when asked they replaced the entire tyres from another bike and on the day of delivery the rear brake light wasn't engaging very easily the snatched a bit of wiring from a 19 dominar and slapped it on my bike, reluctantly I took the bike home. On my very first ride on 28 April the rear caliper completely jammed I had to pry it open and not break for a good 10km to get it back home.

Fortunately for me the bike wasn't registered so I returned it after a long and loud argument with the reps at the showroom, after all this I agreed to pay the difference amount for the 19 model and waited impatiently for a month for the bike.

It's been a month and a few now iv put down 2400km on the odo first service done some issues persist and I'm still amazed by how little the service guys know about these bikes, after the first service my bike no longer shows anything other then dynamic fe, the avg1 and avg 2 have dissapeared it is lost likely a sensor that's gone bad I didnt expect that on a new bike.

Now the bike has been great for me good power somewhat comfortable (not the best seats) it really open up when you rev the living day lights out of it which I'm not used to.

Regarding the vibes they exist and dont let any one tell you otherwise at one point I felt it was worse then the royal Enfield I took the bike to motospark a newly opened place near dlf new town Bangalore, the guy was great and adjusted my clutch which made the vibes reduce substantially.

            Accessories

I got the handlebar raisers installed on day one they feel great I hate a aggressive seating position and believe for a bike like this the handlebar deserved to be raised stock, got them from hyperryder kasturba road expensive but seemed stock and of good quality.

Next up I got the windshield installed they are similar to the luvia ones got them from Hrtz modz btm layout they have reduced the windblast from head on winds but there is no getting away from the redeculious cross winds that throw you off balance every time your on the highway.

I also installed a very ugly but very useful back rest from the same place hrtz modz
            Dose a great job.

All in I'm happy with bike its comfort, power and value for money but hate the after sales service. I'll find a place to do my troubleshooting and go to bajaj only for the warranty service.

One of the main reason I got this bike is because I and a friend did a ride to spiti valley last year and love the place to bits and I really dint see why this bike cant do the ride without any issues.

Ps. Most of my vibration related issues were due to bad cluth adjustment at bajaj, hope it helps.

Also, Trip1 and Trip2 showed only Dynamic FC instead of Average FC. Took bike to ASVC again today. They didn't tell any reason for this however told that there is a new ECU update which will enable display of Gear Position Indication on the main display/cluster as well. Left the bike there for update. Lets see what happens.
Even i had the same issue with the console, it appears after resetting the service indicator icon. This was known bug in first batch of D400 UG. In mine they just reset the console after that i didn't get any codes/numbers like that. And all the functions started to work again.

Got my first "own" bike, 45 days ago. Clocked about 1500km. It's an absolute hoot to ride and I'm absolutely in love with this machine <3 The best part of owning this? When you toss the keys to your friend for a quick spin and the roar you hear when they're coming back!

Coming to the actual issue, I've been hearing a very harsh rattling noise from the front headlamp assembly, above 5000-6000 RPM. The speed is not of concern, only the RPMs are. The noise only comes up during hard acceleration, no matter if it is from a stand still or a rolling acceleration. At first I thought the visor could be loose, but it was rock solid.

The bike has never been dropped, abused or taken apart, only a few hard acceleration runs.

Any help figuring out the problem would be appreciated.

Additionally, I'm planning on a few mods, like tall windscreen, bashplate, handlebar risers, pillion backrest, knuckle guards and hydraulic clutch replacement.

I'd like to know your preference of vendors for the parts.

Sorry for any errors, this is my first post on the forum.

                Thanks!

Can someone tell the price of the 2019 Dominar mirrors and whether they can be fitted on other bikes.

When I checked on a 2019 Domi, the mirror had a mounting using allen bolt instead of the usual threaded stalk with a tightening nut. Not sure if it is compatible with other bikes.

And if anyone is using the 2019 Dominar mirrors on the old Dominar, do tell how does it behave with regards to vibrations at higher RPMs.

Yes it can be fitted few have got it done at Bajaj service center for around 1100/- and locally for around 750 to 800. One rvm price is 377/- rest is fittings etc
Less vibrations and more view area is reported by users.

An update on my battery problem. I visited the service center to take the Exide battery and intended to take it to Exide main office. When service center guys opened the seat and took the battery out, I found it to be Amaron. They were surprised and told me that they were working on two other bikes and updated me wrongly over the phone. Since it was Amaron, they said they themselves shall claim warranty as it was nearby. I came back, later took the bike with replaced battery yesterday. So in Chennai it looks claiming warranty for Amaron is easier than Exide.

One more point is I asked for warranty for the new battery which is replaced as its new one it should cme with warranty, but they denied t provide me the same quoting its replacment.
