There is no ownership thread on XBHP in which braking technique hasn't been discussed.Originally posted by Vishnujithr View PostMy rear break is not having good bite...break pads r okay...what will b the reason? Due to this prblm im unable to stop & desired distance or in an emergency situation
If you are using rear brakes to stop, you are playing with physics. When you brake from a considerable speed, the weight gets transferred to the front part of the bike/car. It is advisable that you use 70:30 or 60:40 for Front:Rear brake.
Gauge the distance beforehand and use the above technique. Also, try and understand how the bike's brakes behave. It is also not necessary that mass production bikes like ours will have same braking strength. It will differ even if it is a very small difference.Regards,

Bro..... That is ok. The issue of this person is that his bike's rear brake is not as good as other Dominars.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostThere is no ownership thread on XBHP in which braking technique hasn't been discussed.

It's been 8 years I'm riding bikes. I know the braking technique very well. I'm not complaining about stopping distance or both brakes being shitty. Problem is in rear brake.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostThere is no ownership thread on XBHP in which braking technique hasn't been discussed.

AND I CLEARLY MENTIONED THAT THE OTHER DOMINARS HAVE MORE BITE IN REAR BRAKE THAN MINE. And the difference is not small. So that clearly means the issue is in brake not in braking technique.Last edited by NirmalDushman; 01-31-2019, 10:03 PM.

I thought I quoted Vishnu who shared the problem.
So instead of starting big, I started with basics to understand if he has been doing things right or not.
Did I quote your post by mistake? If that's the case then I'm sorry mate. It was not for you.Regards,

No need to say sorry. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just that everyone of my friend is telling me the same thing about brakes and I'm tired of hearing it.
I don't have problem about stopping distance.
The less bite in rear brake is not causing me any trouble while stopping because of powerful front brake. But when I tried friend's dominar then I realised that bite in my rear brake is way to less.

I had a Duke 200 in 2014-15 and the rear brake felt wooden and with absolutely no feedback.Originally posted by NirmalDushman View PostI don't have 2 IDs, it's the only one.

What I did was pump out some oil from the reservoir to increase some play and it did make a difference. It wasn't all happy and amazing but it wasn't crap either like before.
A full rear brake system flushing out might help.Regards,

Before bleeding it all, try to do it small quantities. A squirt or two like in injections should make matters visible.Originally posted by NirmalDushman View PostI told SC giyto bleed the brake oil but he refused to do it. Idk why. I went with the feels of the brake lever instead of a full ride and fortunately it did work out.Regards,

Done with 2nd servicing
I stayed whole day in the SC. I did not leave my bike alone with them even for 5 min
I told them to replace the oil. Manager wasn't ready. He was insisting on top-up only. After forcing I agreed to change the oil.
Old oil which came out of bike was too black and dirty. I could feel the soil and metal particles rubbing my finger in the oil and it was not at all thick. So I guess Changing the oil was a right decision.
And yeah they did not knew about the 3rd magnetic filter. I forced them to open it so 3 mechanics were searching for it with mobile torch. I had to tell them to remove the cowl then they found it
Again they couldn't solve the rear brake problem. Manager and I tried 3 different dominars to see the braking difference between mine and others and it was totally noticable. Still manager said we just sanded the pads give it time it will adjust. (I know that won't work)
Chain slider clamp and anti vibration kit was installed (first they said 250 service charge has to paid when i told them that many of my friends have done it and none of them paid anything then the became awkward and said we will see at the billing. They didn't charge me for it in the billing)
And my bike is 2018 model so the anti vibration kit is not only for 2017 model.
They will remove the pre-installed kit from the bike to give it back to company and will put new one.
So the owners of 2018 model head to showroom for anti vibration kit if they say no then contact Bajaj.
Total bill was Rs 1202
Oil + oil filter + consumables charges.
Hello All,
Can any one clarify the applicable models for Vibration Kit replacement? Mine is Apr2018 manufactured Dominar. Visited Showroom 3 time as they kept telling "spare unavailable". Finally got hold of them after their confirmation on spare availability and they even created job card for the same.
Then they said Vibration kit is not for 2018 model and returned. After pressing too much - they just tightened the speedo console screws by removing the headlight unit (PS: I insisted to stay in the showroom until they install the kit). Called bajaj customer care and they getting standard reply "contact nearest service center". I live in Mysore, Karnataka.
Now what? Need guidance and support from this forum.
Warm Regards
Visu
