Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Today I got my dominar water washed (not in service center) after washing completed I started driving my bike while driving both front and rear brakes were not working properly I mean was not getting a proper bite from them which they usually use to give. After driving for 200-300 meter it became normal was getting a proper response from both the brakes. is this normal or there is an issue? first time i am facing this thing. and also I am getting kat kat like sound while applying rear brakes when bike speed is around 10-15kmph.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Dear brthrz,
I would like to know how to reduce vibes on the handle bar of D400, i feel numb after riding it for 50 - 100 kms. Is there any tips? I just did the 3rd service and 10050kms on odo, I mentioned this to service guys and they tighten the handle bars, still there is vibrations. Waiting for your suggestions.🙂

You can have two possible solutions.Originally posted by AllwiN01 View PostDear brthrz,

1. Check if the handlebar dampers are still in good condition. If not, change them.
2. Try using the older 390 Duke's grips. They are thicker and will make a difference.
If all else fails, use thicker gloves and live with those vibrations. I went with the second option and trust me it works.

Special polish/ wax are available for matte finish, search on Amazon. Also you can use waterless spray cleaners to protect the surface.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostI'll be taking my bike this Saturday for a wash and am also thinking about getting it polished. You can try sheeba polish, you can use it on fibre parts as well as painted parts, but use less amount in polishing matte finish and buff it afterwards.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostOK, can we use liquid polish on matte surface?

More power is always welcome.
More engine oil which is ok given the bump in power and revs.
USD takes in more oil for same fork size - that's news to me. It may be to avoid nose dives and make it more sturdy.Regards,
