Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The pulsing is prominent but the khat is distinct and happens only once.

Both the time the clutch was fully engaged and while slow down.
First instance occured when I was doing around 90 kmph and tried to slow down the bike to stop at signal with clutch fully engaged and while braking engine shuts off itself. Any idea on this issue, possible causes.
Is this issue related to ECU, throttle body sensor?
I have also noted that side stand indicator teltale lights is also off during this instance. May be I might have missed during engine shut off time.
        Thanks.
It's because of the throttle body. My brother also faced this same issue with his doninar. Svs got confused first nd changed the fuel filter . But the problem was not solved. After lots of visit to the svc they finally chaged the throttle body nd now all came back to normal. No unusual engine shut down at all

Is there any charge for chain slider clamp and vibration reduction kit ?
I'm in service centre right now and they said material is free of cost but service charge is Rs 250 + GST
My bike is still in warranty.

              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Second service done yesterday.. Sai service at Pune..

Well, had a bad experience as I had given my ride at 9:30am in the morning and till 7pm it wasn't serviced.. I was waiting there from 5:45pm to 6:45pm just to know that it was washed and Teflon coated... I did not leave my ride alone with them since then, followed it inside the workshop too and helped them to do stuffs as well..
              Things done-
              1. Teflon coat (Just wanted to finish this Jopasu Ultracoat thing I purchased, I'm planning to get a 9H one and do it myself)
              2. Chain slider clamp (I told them I know about it and so it was not missed... Ijs [emoji14] )
              3. Oil + Filter Change + 2nd filter cleaning + 3rd filter draining only
              I use Motul 7100 10w50 (Life is around 5k).
Now the best part here, I asked them to remove the body below and open the bolt to drain the oil from 3rd filter.. They didn't know about it .. One guy heading there said, "carbon gets accumulated blah blah.. You don't have to do it..". I actually forced them to open up, it was a learning for them so they did ("Customer has asked, do it we will know what it is", this was a statement I lip read when they were discussing in a low voice).. They didn't know what's gonna come out when we loosen up that bolt.. I told them it's engine oil, that's when they bought a container to hold it off..
              4. Push plugs for the headlamp body, one of them fell somewhere during my trip..
              5. SVC guy greased the battery terminals
              6. Chain slack adjustment (They said they did, I'm yet to check as I was in a hurry to notice the sound coming)
              7. Chain cleaning + Lubing
Now they messed this part big time.. They did the cleaning with diesel but that was used by a 100 others and black as tar, they didn't give time to dry and lubed.. Lubed but not sufficient, gear shifting is rough.. Saturday I will have to clean up the mess they did with my chain, swing arm, RIM and lube it as well.. That was a set off after all the delay..
              8. Clutch cable adjustment

Since I didn't trust them to do things right and toy around, I was there all the time.. I left with my ride at 8pm... Bill Rs. 208/-

Now a question to anyone, do we add any engine smoothing agent oil along with engine oil? They told me it's optional and costed around Rs. 130/-.. I forgot to add it so am asking, do we really need it..?
You changed the oil and still the bill was 208 Rs only ??

Hello there... As mentioned in my post I use Motul and not Bajaj's provided oil.. Motul is not sold at the service center, so I buy my own can and take it there, that's the reason I didn't include it as a cost at the service center..

Please understand that it’s not “Mistake of Bajaj”. This kit was made during R&D for 2019 Dominar based on feedback from customers. Bajaj is just extending support to existing Dominar owners as they do understand and appreciate their customers.

Sir I work for an automotive industry itself and no company provides any thing for free unless and untill its a mistake and cause issues in warranty. Chain slider absence would cause hazards and vibration reduction kit is an add on for feedback nobody will provide it free of cost. If it's an add on it add cost. Please understand many company does this when their is a mistake instead of official recall they insist SVC to fix the vehicle which ever cmes to service.

You itself mentioned that it was found during R&D of 2019 that there was a issue in previous gen dominar. This is called mistake

It is called an 'issue', or if something major, a 'defect'. Using the word 'Mistake' is out of context here. Replacements or repairs are provided when a user is no longer able to continue to use the product as intended by the manufacturer, due to either an issue identified by the customer, or later identified by the company as a genuine problem or issue or defect which prevents a customer or user from using the product as intended.

Other things are open to legal interpretation, but this is broadly how it is. Your part about warranty is correct. Its similar to what i have mentioned above.
Also, from a customer service point of view, Bajaj cannot afford any bad publicity for the Dominar considering its low sales volume. They are doing everything possible to make the new launch a success.

Did the guy say 'DOHC' ? If so then it's gonna be one rev happy engine. The engine head does look somewhat different (wider) though.

                                ODO 4520
                                Done with 2nd servicing

I stayed whole day in the SC. I did not leave my bike alone with them even for 5 min

I told them to replace the oil. Manager wasn't ready. He was insisting on top-up only. After forcing I agreed to change the oil.
Old oil which came out of bike was too black and dirty. I could feel the soil and metal particles rubbing my finger in the oil and it was not at all thick. So I guess Changing the oil was a right decision.
And yeah they did not knew about the 3rd magnetic filter. I forced them to open it so 3 mechanics were searching for it with mobile torch. I had to tell them to remove the cowl then they found it

Again they couldn't solve the rear brake problem. Manager and I tried 3 different dominars to see the braking difference between mine and others and it was totally noticable. Still manager said we just sanded the pads give it time it will adjust. (I know that won't work)

Chain slider clamp and anti vibration kit was installed (first they said 250 service charge has to paid when i told them that many of my friends have done it and none of them paid anything then the became awkward and said we will see at the billing. They didn't charge me for it in the billing)

And my bike is 2018 model so the anti vibration kit is not only for 2017 model.
They will remove the pre-installed kit from the bike to give it back to company and will put new one.
So the owners of 2018 model head to showroom for anti vibration kit if they say no then contact Bajaj.

                                Total bill was Rs 1202
Oil + oil filter + consumables charges.
