Its pointless despite what N2 users might try to sell to you

    Question boils down to

    1. Do you wanna pay for 22% extra nitrogen when normal air has 78% nitrogen and is free?
    2. Are you too lazy to check tyre pressure every weekend (ideally every morning as part of your Pre-Ride CheckList)

The bike is running great!! Feel smoother after 1st service.

      Following things were done:
      a. Changed Engine Oil to Servo FS - Rs 1084
      b. Topped Up the Coolant - Rs. 0
      c. Lubricated the Chain - Rs. 120
      d. Thud sound on every gear shift - Solved / Gone (except 1st gear).

Milage receiving - 28-29 Kms/lts (before 1st service, yet to check post service).

Any guidance? Almost done 800 KMs. Till when is the running period? 1000 or 2000, have to drive below 70Kms/hr. Have to check me each and every time from crossing 70KMs/hr.

A 120 rupees job for chain lubing?
I hope they've given you the remaining lube. If you are ok with DIY, I'll suggest 1 can of diesel, 1 old toothbrush and 500 mL of 140 grade gear oil. You can do so many lubing session of the chain with these things.
You changed the oil to Servo from service center? Any protests from the SVC guys?

Rs.120 is on the cheaper side have to say from Bajaj, usually KTM charges Rs.150-200 which technically has the same chain as compared to the Dominar.
To their credit though I must say they nearly use half bottle from a brand new sealed pack of 150ml Motul C1 and C2(which itself costs approx Rs.150 each)

But I only get this done from SVC when I leave the bike for service once every 5K kms, rest of the time I do it myself using a trusty toothbrush, diesel and only Motul C2.

Yamaha charges flat Rs. 200/- for this sole purpose..

Just a query, do you take out the chain completely? Asking coz I don't, just move the bike along and clean then once finished move back n lube.. (I don't have a padlock stand)

Also, just one query to all..
When you shift your gear, do you any time feel that it's has friction to it's internals that resists? You get that noise too..
I feel it sometimes, not regular though.. Not sure why..

In Baja Sai service (phugewadi) they charge 179 (including GST) for chain lubing and they are shitty at it.

I don't remove it fully, I do not have the linkage removal tool also it's not really required. I had got it done in SVC once though, where chain was completely dipped bath in cleaning agent and dried and put back on the bike.

Yes, at low speeds say 20-30kmph while shifting from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd it almost feels like something is going to break internally and feels very clunky and hard(that's by design though). But as the speed progresses this gets solved. As long as there is no sounds or resistance at high moving speeds it should not a problem.

Removing the chain is not a good idea as here ther link is not removable, even for the master link we need a breaker and if done and not properly put together, it would result in chain failure at high speed as this runs at a very high rate.
You can use car jack or. And block wooden or something to place under the bike to lift the rear.
I use 4 ltr burger paint wala dabba and i have used it to lift both front and rear wheel. Car jack is what i used initially.
Use a lint free cloth to wipe the full leangth of chain before each lube cycle and this way you do not need frequent cleaning.
Cleaning at very short intervals is not recommend. And use only Diesel/kerosene/wd40/chain cleaner to clean nothing else. And ignore those who says any of these are not safe.
For cleaning any areosole based lube or gear oil ep 90 grade api gl4 is recomended in summer ep 140 can also be used.
Never used old engine oil and engine oil for that matter.
And here the chargers for chain oh was around 150 buck last time when i got it done.

And you need to explain that friction more, use good pressure of you feet while shifting gears and use full clutch and upshift at 4k rpm and above from 2nd onwards for smoother shifts.

Hello... I will soon try to move to a better lube solution as now I use Motul C1 and C2 but that is needed quite frequently now.. It gets dry in a weeks time...

About the friction, It happens when I downshift and mostly from 2nd to 1st... Feels as though the internals are rolling and I am trying to shove the gear forcefully down when it is resisting.. Like something is stuck in.. Really difficult to explain..

Yes, they took 120 rupees for chain lubing. I am already DYI person and lubing the chain on my own. I was in a desperate situation to get the chain cleaned and lubed hence opted for doing it in the service center.

My concern is regarding Oil filter, they didn't charge me for the same hence forcing me to believe that they didn't change it in the first service. Can you please clear following doubts:
                          a. Is oil filter part of oil change charges?
                          b. If not changed, should I change it now already done 100 Kms or wait till 2nd service.

120 is pretty normal for SVCs to charge for Chain Cleaning and Lubing. And its fine to do that as part of general service when you are getting it done in an SVC, because you have to perform chain maintenance every 1000kms give or take and you can do these yourself.

Now AFAIK, oil and oil filter are consumables hence they will be charged separately on the bill sheet. Infact anything that has an MRP will be shown individually on the sheet.

If the oil filter is not mentioned on teh sheet then its very likely that they havent changed it.

Now in the Gixxer SF, the oil filter change interval is 8000kms, I dont know what it is in Dominar but this should give you an idea.

But since this was your first service, it would be better to get the Oil filter changed as well if it hasnt been changed already.

Don't worry. I was also worried initially during my run in period. But it'll be settled in few thousands kilometers. They'll be butter smooth. I believe dominar has a buttery smooth gear box compared to any other Bajaj's bike. It'll be fine. I'm at 5200 kilometers. Engine as well as gear box feels so smooth now. Enjoying my bike. It's an amzing machine. A steal deal.
