How is it. My Michelin psr is riding fine. Just road noise. I start bike and get noise tank vibrations @2k - 3k , then road noise. So it's getting annoying.Originally posted by Ijs View PostMe , i am the first one to get it here in Delhi for Dominar then soni now a whole lot of guys on Dominar and ktms.
My friend is a dealer.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Lot better than psr, for the vibrations the first lot owners means 2017 made bike are getting free vibration reducing kit for free here just some 80 bucks as labour. I will go for service next week so will update few have already got it done. This kit has some pads etc and is already there in 2018 models. Cost is 700 something but free for 2017.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostHow is it. My Michelin psr is riding fine. Just road noise. Mthrfkrs. No one at sc told me. I just did a chain kit replacement total service 2 weeks ago. Thanks bro. Mine is one of the first bookings. Hopefully the kit does the trick.Originally posted by Ijs View PostLot better than psr, for the vibrations the first lot owners means 2017 made bike are getting free vibration reducing kit for free here just some 80 bucks as labour. I guess it's normal. Even my bike has the sound due to the same reason. Haven't faced any problem so far.Originally posted by akshaysondkar View PostHello guys.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Omg, the most unexpected thing happened today. Ijs f you are reading need your advice.
I usually turn on the bike first while on site stand before I saddle.
Today the bike started in neutral but immediately jerked into first gear. And fell.OMG.
I had noticed many times that I would park in neutral but later it would be in first gear. I thought nothing of it. Maybe some kid stepped on the gear.
But it's going into gear due to the weight of the lever.
The bike does not start in gear. I checked after the fall.
In this wierd case bike went into gear right after the starter kicked in.
I like that the gets are shifting smoothly now. Is this a sign that I need to replace gear s?

I also start in neutral on side stand. It mever happened to me. I mean gear is not that heavy to shift in 1st. Must be some malfunction.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostOmg, the most unexpected thing happened today. Ijs f you are reading need your advice.

Is happened a couple of times in traffic for me. The bike would jerk right after starting First time on the stand.Originally posted by faysal_khan View PostI also start in neutral on side stand. It mever happened to me. I mean gear is not that heavy to shift in 1st. Must be some malfunction.
My bike is one of the first. When I say weight, I mean the gear is slipping into first. So yes, possivle wear and tear.i don't mean factory design issues.
Question is, has someone faced the problem and replaced the gears.

Do u mean that it shifts into the gear on its on, this is not normal than do get it checked if the lever is damaged then get it replaced and do get the clutch adjustment done.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostIs happened a couple of times in traffic for me. And if needed the gear shaft needs to be replaced i guess.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
This is not a problem with the gears, but a faulty neutral indicator switch. It has happened to me occasionally, so it is always a good idea to first put the bike in neutral, move it back and forth before starting it.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostIs happened a couple of times in traffic for me. I urge all of you to first clear the simpler things, and later fall into the paranoia category.

Agree , but a faulty neutral indicator switch should not be giving the jerk that is caused by gear engagement.Originally posted by Indivar View PostThis is not a problem with the gears, but a faulty neutral indicator switch. Only time it can give jerk is when at the time of shifting into the neutral the light glows but the gear is still engaged and u let go the clutch. So if u leave the bike as it is means gear not properly disengaged and you start it , it should start jerk and stop.Last edited by Ijs; 11-11-2018, 12:21 AM.
