Oh and the bike.. she is Bomb!! Totally amazing to ride!
Registration papers shouldn't be stretched to months. Usually, RTO papers are delivered within a week, once the insurance and temp registration and invoice are sent to RTO. It also depends on how efficient the guy at the showroom is seeding through the papers, so do visit them personally and sternly ask them for the papers and the status.

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

the interesting thing about rear disk brakes are that they do not work 100% since the day one like front brake. However they achieve their 100% efficiency after some time if being used.
however people get puzzled when they find rear brake are not working as expected.whereas the solution is very simple .just keep using them and after some time they start working .
Note-100% dose not mean rear will have front like bite ,it means rear will have rear like bite
-using means proper braking with appropriate front and rear ratio.

I do agree, rear brakes won't work as front when it comes to effectiveness.

But there are cases like mine where yu got to be puzzled - the brakes were completely not working, I too waited some days for the fluid to bleed properly - but while finding zero bite in rear after 160kms made me to move ahead with SC help.

Moreover Its raining in Chennai too - I can't risk my life with front brake alone until first service or few more kilometers

        Cheers

After 1 week of buying my Dominar, I visited the service centre of Sengupta Bajaj yesterday. In the meantime, I argued with the Priya Bajaj showroom in Agartala as they didn't gave me a proper bill (only the exshowroom price). They didn't even wanna give me 5 years warranty on Dominar.. saying they received the circular on 10th July. But a guy from Bajaj autocare contacted me when I raised a complaint in the website and assured me that I will get that offer. When I told the showroom guys to talk to him on phone they said I'll get that offer.. seriously I'm a fan of Bajaj autocare now. They do take things seriously. Now in the service centre (I was late to go there)they weren't taking any more bikes as it was half working day. But the service manager came to the rescue. He allowed my bike for the service. They asked for every problem I was facing and were making sure sure that I was satisfied with the service.. totally appreciated. Well it costed me ₹1230 in total. And thanks [MENTION=99142]senguptabajaj[/MENTION] for contacting me in this thread and servicing it so well [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

It would work perfectly fine with normal petrol as well. Just make sure you fill fuel at a decent fuel pump.
Just for the kicks, you can feed Premium fuel to Dominar but its not necessary to be honest. If you have access to Shell fuel pump, get their normal petrol. It's far better and cleaner than any other.

Quality of fuel is recommended based on engine’s compression ratio. Dominar’s owner manual recommend minimum 91 octane fuel for better performance.

                  Hi Sumit,

All fuel sold in the country is 91 Octane. It has been so for the past few years. There is nothing premium about it anymore. We used to be on 87 - 89 Octane a decade ago.

Sorry to bust your bubble buddy.. but you are ill informed. As of now only in Delhi, nation’s capital effect 1st Jan 2018 all fuel sold are with 91 octane and above.

Below are octane level in fuel sold in India except Delhi.

87 octane for a Regular Fuel
87 octane + additives for the HP Power
                    91 octane for BPCL Speed
97 octane for BPCL Speed 97
                    91 octane for IOC XtraPremium
                    98 octane for vPower Shell

Wrong info as per my knowledge ron 91 is standard fuel sold pan india. I got this got this from IOC official. And since April 1 2018 fuel sold in Delhi is ron 91 with 10 percent ethanol. Ethanol in itself is a a octane booster so no need for any other higher blended fuel in low compression engine like our motorcycle.
From April 2019 there is a plan to have ethanol based fuel pan India.

                        Hi Sumit,

I will be happy to correct myself, but all the items you mention are different brands of fuel with additives. It has nothing really to do with the Octane rating.
91 Octane is part of the Bharat Stage 3 fuel requirement , implemented nationwide in 2010.(Iam still verifying this date. I dont personally remember the 91 rating being in use from 2010). Will update when i have more info.

What you and IJS are talking about is actually our great leap from BS 4 direct to BS6 quality fuel in NCR from April 1 2018 ( Actually, a few pumps got this in Jan itself from what i read in the news), this primarily specifies the sulphur content in fuel. BS6 or Euro 6 is currently the cleanest fuel on the planet. BS6 also allows for implementing an ethanol blended fuel which supposedly helps reduce emissions.

Ok thank you.. but we are going off topic here.. question from the user was if ordinary fuel (less than 91 octane) can be used with Dominar?

Answer to that is wouldn’t recommend it as it will affect Dominar’s performance.

And as goes for discussion on fuel quality and octane rating let’s create another thread n discuss further. What do u say guys?

I did a mileage test (dry tank test) yestrday. Bike is less than a week old. Is it too early to test for mileage? Cause I got 21 kmpl in City. Does it improve after the first service?

Don't do it again, dry tank means you finished even last drop of fule to test which means you ran the pump dry. Always leave 3ltrs of fuel in the tank so that pump should be submerged all the times and don't get fried. Read the manual it is also mentioned there and this goes to every fuel injected motorcycle.
Do a tank full to tank full test.

got the ECU updated to version 117 today.now initial impression is that (it may be pseudo-feeling)pick up has increased along with vibrations and less downshifting is required in slow moving traffic.
