Friends,

I am facing a issue on throttle cable. My dominar's throttle cable seems to be getting jammed. Every morning i need to squeeze the throttle 2 /3 times to make it free. Anyone has experienced this issue?

thanks in advance.

Looks like some dirt is stuck at the throttle actuator spring on the throttle body or inside the grip of throttle bar.
Spry some wd40 at the throttle bar and give it few quick Twist. To clean the throttle spring u need to open the tank and remove the rubber flap under the fuel tank to locate the throttle body or simply open the left side black plastic panel then you will see that spring i am talking about. Just spry some throttle cleaner( preferred) or wd 40 to remove the grime or dirt and wipe with a cloth. Do it the easy way by opening the side panel.
Do these two things you will see positive effects if the throttle cable is ok.

Hello guys. First of all thank you moderator/admin for approving my membership.

So, i was going to buy Dominar after this monsoon but since you all know the bajaj new hattrick offer is irresistible. So i have booked mine on 5th of july and dealer promised me a delivery in this week. Can't wait to ride a beast home.

My dealer doesn't stock Dominar.

So, to respected members, what are the things i should remember while delivery? And is there still any problem of throttle lag and all even in 2018 Dominar?
By the way, i have booked in red.....

Congrats! There are no particular issues which you should explicitly be looking at with the 2018 model. They have most of it sorted. Please follow the PDI and run in period diligently. Other than that you should be good.
By the way which city and dealer are you dealing with?

Thank you for quick response....

I am from Gujarat. And city is Bharuch. Even though i can take an immediate delivery from Vadodara which is nearby. But RTO registration is different. And i don't wanna go through all hassle and passle by myself. So stick with kena bajaj, Bharuch. I have opted for 0 depth insurance. And Insurance seems quite high at around 7500... On road price is 1,80,300.

That's how the dealers usually end up making money. By having tie ups with the insurance company where 10-14% of the insurance premium is a commission. Online you can buy a policy for somewhere around 6000 for the same idv and add ons. You can still buy the insurance online or negotiate with the dealer to reduce price on insurance.

I hear some noise near the tank. The showroom guy told me every Dominar has this problem. I think service showroom will take care of it. Apart from this.. love this bike. I don't need any after market exhaust. This one is more than good.

Insurance prices have increased with gst, the same insurance used yo cost around 5k previously but now for 350cc above 2 wheelers the tax on insurance is increased.
You are getting a good price here in Delhi too it cost around 181500 on road.

2017 bikes are also good there is no major change just that the bikes coming with new color scheme has bigger fork black tube then the older models. This is the only hardware change.

True that! I paid 200330!! Here in Bangalore. Where the insurance quoted was 7.5k I ended up paying 6 for it. In the end the price hike are unbelievable and the tax in Bangalore added to it the RTO charges.

Took delivery of Red Dominar last week from Khiviraj Bajaj- AnnaSalai

- Let me know if there is any whats app group for Chennai dominar owners !

My experience is really bad - My rear brake is not functioning from day 1- zero response

My bike is in service station as of now for repair within 1 week

Need experts advice !

You are lucky that they have acknowledged the issue and they are working on it! Khivraj Bajaj kasturba road Bangalore have denied it to be an issue and have told me that how they are supposed to be! And a whole lot of Gyan about ABS. The worst part is Bajaj doesn't care about your issues. They redirect it to the dealers and dealers will always do as they like. It took them 15 days to correct my insurance policy after fighting out with the sales man the insurabce company and the store manager. They charged 1500 for number plate And they did not give one. They bluntly denied what they promised me and told it was 'handling charges' for RTO. If I had a budget above 2lakhs I would have never bought it in the first place. But when we say VFM we are just letting them take us for a ride.
