Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello guys. Tool delivery today.... I love every bit of it. Vibration was there. But it just vanished (almost of it) after only 50 kms. Maybe oil.
Anyway the normal problem i have is headlight fogging up from inside. I read that earlier on forum as well.... Does it happen with all dominars?

Headlamp fogging in rain is normal, and it should be clear by riding with headlight on high beam for 15 to 20 minutes. If there is too much fogging or water seepage, then you need to get it checked.Originally posted by faysal_khan View PostHello guys. Tool delivery today.... I love every bit of it. I had 220 for years. It has been clear always. And also other small bikes like twister n all. They never fogg up. Nor does it happen in any of the car that I've seen.Originally posted by Ijs View PostHeadlamp fogging in rain is normal, and it should be clear by riding with headlight on high beam for 15 to 20 minutes. My only concern is it will turn yellowish after few years... Which i don't want it to happen....

Congrats buddy! You know, the manual which we get along with our vehicles is the best buddy. You can go through it once to understand the machine a little better. And yes it's normal for the headlamp to get fogged. Refer the manual for more details.Originally posted by faysal_khan View PostHello guys. Tool delivery today.... I love every bit of it. Congrats on the bike. Love the flashy red colour. Coming to your concern. I have had the Dominar since the first batch was launched and so far it has been through one monsoon and is now in its second one. I have not noticed any yellowing of the lamps yet. Yes the headlight does fog up and nearly all owners reported this on this very thread last year around monsoon. Trust me there was a lot of discussion on this and eventually it seems leaving the bike in a shade for 10 - 20 mins results in the moisture going away. It is not an issue. If as mentioned, you feel that the water is collecting inside and not going away get it checked.
I am also from Vadodara and the service guys at Shisa Bajaj are very well informed about the Dominar and do give a sympathetic ear. Their in charge Jit Goswami is a very patient and polite guy and you can talk to him about it.Blood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

One pro of the bike which isn't mentioned anywhere is u can ride it in monsoon and in muck without getting your and pillion pants getting dirty. I just love it. I have 220 and i couldn't ride it above 15 kmps in a monsoon. Because i don't wanna get dirty. Lol. Love it...
Always believed if there is a heaven on earth it is in bike rides. It's kind of meditation for me. Always have been.
Special thanks,
VIKRAMADITYA.

There is no such option. But you can speak with any prospective buyer of last year model and exchange tyres. OR just get is painted black.Originally posted by msuthar25 View PostCan anyone confirm if there is an option to choose black rims instead of golden ones?

Congrats. I just got mine at 18th of july in same colour.Originally posted by aditya10dulkar View PostI just got mine today . Can u guys give me tips for the runoff period ..how should I ride it for the first 2000 km
For run in perios just stay below 5k rpm. And keep your rpm varying and try to run in other gears as well. In new bikea the rpm limit is set to 5500 rpm till 2000 kms. I tried mine for once or two. Doesn't do any harm for seconds. And don't rev motor while idling. I know it sounds sweet.
