The sound from the tank is not audible now. I've also stuffed in some foam between the small flap like thing below the handlebar. The headlamp cowl also vibrates at times and can get bothersome on long rides.

Please I request everyone who are having problem with vibrations to see video.
This is the simple solution to reduce or eliminate overall vibrations.

Also if you are aware of sound or vibrations damping sheets available in market for cars to improve cabin noise isolation then you can purchase that and try installing the same on all the plastic parts from the inside so that nothing will again rattle or vibrate.

Hey all please see this video if you have any tank vibration issue.

Will probably tell bajaj only to do this... Don't like the idea of getting the bike opened up like that by a roadside mechanic.

I dont have the current update but I do remember that when I had the first update done last year, the bike did stall a few times but after a couple of days it was back to normal, so the mechanic is probably right.

I distinctly remember there was no charge levied on doing the ECU update. In essence the update was to remove the throttle lag which was a manufacturing defect from Bajaj and they dare not charge the customer for it. I am not certain why they have charged for this update. I have not had it done so cant comment conclusively, however I dont think they should charge for ECU updates.

And this process is not chargeable if they have taken money for it then you should complaint regarding it, to their manager or head and also mail it to bajaj auto and also register complaint on their toll free number.
Similar case has been reported once before and the owner complained it to bajaj so they paid him full refund.
And for non abs 118 file is working well.
thanks guys for you valuable inputs

I have written a mail to Bajaj with all the details lets see what happens. Will update the same.

yes the currently installed version is 118.

No point going to Bajaj SVC to do this. they don't care at all. they have no time to do this time consuming work. they will put some double tape at few places and will return your bike as it is.

If there are any vibrations on upcoming Dominar, I'm gonna put layer of sound insulation under every plastic part by myself for the quality results.

Need to find a reliable mechanic then in Mumbai. Any recommendations? Also what's the best way to do the wiring for the 5V battery charger?

Will this void the warranty of bike ?

No you can do it at home.
One guy here did this. These pads are also available online. Comes in pack of 100.

Here is the link , though it is expensive here in the local market this pack would be less than 100 bucks.

                      • Information needed regarding Dominar Seat & Tires.

                        Hello Every one,
I would like to ask a couple of questions. I would be really grateful to you if you can please answer them.

                        1. Which are the best tires in terms of braking and grip (Front & Rear Both) for the Dominar.
                        2. What can I do to make the stock seat comfortable for long rides (At least 12 Hours/Day) . Should I change the seat completely and if yes then which one.

                        Thanking in advance.
                        Regards,

                        Rahul

No i don't think so, he has really gone overboard and used most of the package contents, but it won't harm.

I would suggest Apollo alpha h1 , i am using it and few others too. Me and soni are the first ones to get these on domi.
He has done 6.5k kms including ladkah ride but only lost .2mm of the tread, total tread is 5.2mm and now his tyre has 5.0mm remaining which by calculation means it would last close to 20k kms.
Tyre has excellent road grip both wet and dry and is a w rated tyre.

This makes me jealous, but also happy at the same time. Mine is a pathetic 18k 2 year warranty from the original lot. If they have included this in the manual itself, then i think all future dominars will carry this warranty.

This is how you truly enjoy the ownership experience of a motorcycle. Riding a quality product with the assurance of a long term warranty period.
