But, no manufacturer gives so much raw power in such a low price, and the ride feel of dominar so engaging that one forgets about the vibrations. When i first test rode dominar, the pull that bike gave me put a wide grin on my face [emoji7] [emoji8]

      Hello everyone.

      Hello Surya,

My name is Sarthak and we are the hosts of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a celebration of the art of being dapper and motorcycles.

It brings together over 100,000 well dressed Gentlemen & Ladies on stunning motorcycles across 90 countries & 600 cities. The goal for 2018 is to raise awareness and $5m for Prostate Cancer Research and Suicide Prevention Programs. Chennai is a proud host to such an event.

In India, it's happening in 12 cities with a total participation of over 5,00,000 riders.

We have been doing this event in Chennai for the past 5 consecutive years. I wanted you to take the privilege to be a part of this great initiative and experience the love & passion among the riders of Chennai, all suited up!

It would be great if you could be a part of this great cause and help us share the awareness of Prostate Cancer Research & Suicide prevention program.

      WHAT IS IT?

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a celebration of the art of being dapper and motorcycles.

It brings together over 100,000 well-dressed gentlefolk and women on stunning motorcycles across 90 countries & 600 cities. The goal for 2018 is to raise awareness and $5m for Prostate Cancer Research and Suicide Prevention Programs. Chennai is already proud to host such an event.

Despite the title, "Distinguished Ladies" are of course most welcome!

      WHEN IS IT?

      Sunday 7th October 7.00 am - 11.00 am

      WHERE IS IT?

Ride Starting point: Yet to be finalized
Ride End Point/Venue: ITC Welcomgroup Kences Resort

      WHAT DO I WEAR?

Classic Sunglasses, Suits, Formals, Waist Coats, Blazers, Polished Shoes, Trimmed Beards and a most importantly, a gentlemanly attitude.

Please note that a dress code is "mandatory" for this event. The code is: formal / retro / vintage clothing.

Riders coming in casuals / riding jackets / riding pants/riding shoes etc. will not be allowed to take part. This event is strictly within speed limits. Helmets are mandatory. Gloves are optional.

A dress code is also in force for your motorcycle! Please be sure that it looks at its best, polished and clean.

      WHAT BIKES ARE ALLOWED?

Since DGR is a global event happening in 166 cities across the globe, we were told by the Australian team that only vintage and classic vehicles must be allowed. Knowing the fact that our country doesn't really hold up to such vehicle in large volumes, we sent a request from our side for us to allow any segment of motorcycle for the event. Our application got accepted and now Chennai DGR is eligible to have ANY make and model bikes for the event perhaps the dress code is MANDATORY though. The idea is NOT to differentiate among th4e bike make, what's important is your participation for the cause of the event.

Respect is mandatory. We will not just dress like gentlemen but behave in a manner that is appropriate and respectful of each other. Attendees found misbehaving in any slightest form will be removed/arrested by police immediately.

The mood will be elevated by precisely selected 80's western Classic & Blues music.

There'll be a short round of discussion on motorcycling by righteous guests and a brief on PROSTATE CANCER.

Also, if anyone has used it, how is the performance till now?
This is the only luvia product which has bad reviews, first it is only the sproket and u have to buy full chain set along with it, secondly the quality is not very good as per user experience.

All single cylinder engines have vibrations bigger the capacity higher the vibes, to reduce it we need something like counter balancers shaft like the ones used in new duke 390.
Employing which would result in higher production cost which not many would pay for a Bajaj.
Dominar on the other hand is more refined then the previous gen d390 on which it is based. And with usage and services the vibes would reduce. On my motorcycle 4.5 to 5k rpm is the buzz zone that too not very concerning.
Post 5.5k rpm it gets smoother. It also depends on how u use the revv band and shift gears.

Refinement in motorcycle engines starts from twin cylinder or more.

The Dominar uses the same sprocket setup as the Duke 390 which uses 15/45 setup. The 42 that Lluvia is providing means lesser acceleration and more slower top end very good for touring, this is the theortetical aspect of it. Now, the quality, and I think Ijis has given you his insight w.r.t to the quality. Though it's recommended to always replace the drive train as a "kit" and not chain and sprocket alone, as it only accelerates the wear of the newer part.

Also to all the Domi owners, I am posting the animated SPARE PART CATALOG for both ABS and non-ABS herewith and the same will be edited in the first page of the thread.

            Hope it comes in handy.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Please do not experiment with unknown brands when it comes to critical components of your motorcycle. Diamond, ROLON, or any other brand which experienced members here recommend is the right option.

Please I request everyone who are having problem with vibrations to see video.
This is the simple solution to reduce or eliminate overall vibrations.

Also if you are aware of sound or vibrations damping sheets available in market for cars to improve cabin noise isolation then you can purchase that and try installing the same on all the plastic parts from the inside so that nothing will again rattle or vibrate.

                    Hi Jitark,

I am from Vadodara and have been riding the first batch of Dominar since Feb 2017. Please let me assure you that the vibes will go down significantly after the first service. I too bought my bike from Shisa Bajaj and their Service Engineers are actually better than most other cities where you keep hearing complaints of service. These guys actually know and rectify the issues of the Dominar if you explain it to them with some patience. I am certain that due to the rev limits and it being a new engine you are facing the vibe issues.

Regarding the speed though, best to keep it under 80 kmph for now. Let the first service happen, let it cross 2000 kms and then you can have your fun.

FYI I have completed over 10000 kms on the Dominar and except for the throttle lag issue (it was only with the first batch and fixed with ECU update) and the one time when I had to get the throttle sensors cleaned, there have been absolutely no problems in my bike. So don't be worried!

Thank you vikramaditya. it is a relief to hear that, actually at the time of taking the delivery of the bike i met the service guy at shisa bajaj (i dont remember his name but i think it was jitubhai) because i had few questions to ask to him, from that meeting i can conclude that he knows the bike and he is a good person.
thank you for the reply vikramaditya.

I have been following this thread from a long time. Had small question, has anyone tried the KTM tire hugger, i have seen few suggestions in youtube where they have got a custom molded iron for the tire hugger from pulsar NS. but the issue is i'm not able to find out a worker who can make it like it doesnt standout its custom one. I want a clear finish. Please suggest a place in bangalore.

Unfortunately, no. The tire hugger of the NS200 can be only tweaked to be installed. The Dominar's swingarm doesn't have the attachment point that the NS 200 series have the tire hugger. A custom made plate to hold the hugger can be fixed by fixing the plate to the rear wheel axle. It can be done at any welding shop who are skilled in making home gates, shutter repair shops et cetera. Just explain them or if you can pictorially by Googling them and they'll take the measurements and can be done.

                          Cheers!
