As Shell says, their quality of fuel remains the same throughout the world.
Euro 6 is more or less the BS4 which we have.
I've personally experienced this in my P220. With HP or BP(COCO pumps) my 220 runs a bit hotter and harsher. With Shell, I get a slightly better fuel efficiency and a lot smoother bike.

    EURO6 is equivalent to BS6
EURO 4 is equivalent to BS4

EURO4 is long back gone in Europe, No where close to BS4.

      Yup..
"More or less" identifies the same ideology.

True that and we have bs6 fuel here in delhi, which is 10 percent ethnol mixed. And ethnol is in itself is a octane booster.
So there is also no need to use higher octane rated ones.
Use which ever fuel , shell, bp, hp, ioc main point is it should not be adulterated.
And i think from next year all india would shift to bs6 fuel.

Does this include full zero dep+ comprehensive for 1st year and 3rd party for rest 4 years , or is it the full zero dep+ comprehensive for all the 5 years?

If it is the later then it means owners planning to keep the motorcycle for 5 years would save on future insurance policies, rest who plan to shift to other motorcycles would find it bit hard to get the current on transferred due to this five year law.

This has been implemented as there are many owners of low end two wheelers who do not renew the insurance after the initial period. Basically this law states the 3rd party insurance is mandatory for 5 years for new two wheelers.

              I agree.
It hardly makes a difference actually. For example, let's take the below prices:
BP, HP, IO - Rs. 80/L
              Shell - Rs. 83/L

If the owner takes 10L of fuel:
              BP, HP, IO - Rs. 80 x 10 = Rs. 800
              Shell - Rs. 83 x 10 = Rs. 830

For 10 litres of fuel the difference is just Rs. 30.
I say, this is worthwhile investment for knowledge and purity.

                Hi everyone,

I have been following xbhp for quote sometime now, came to know about this from my colleague Sanjay.
I own a Dominar 400 and an Activa. The Dominar has completed around 13000kms now, recently when i went in for adjusting the chain. I was told that its is time to replace the chain as one side is tight and loose. But the adjuster is only at the half way mark.

What is the average life you all are getting from the chain and sprockets? i lube the chain ever 600kms. or when it makes the sound.
Looking forward to know all your experiences

Welcome aboard xBhp. Sprocket life varies with each bike with care and lubrication carried out periodically. If you can post a photo or two of your chain adjuster both left and right, perhaps we can get an idea as to the life of the sprocket. Secondly, an expanded chain which has unevenly worn can sometimes warrant a replacement of the whole sprocket and chain kit.

Chains can sometimes be tight at some point and loose at some point which are perfectly normal and as long as the slack is adjusted and the chain cleaned and lubed there shouldn't be any problem, you can continue to use your current sprocket as the sprocket can be used till the max mark. Make sure the right chain slack is kept. Most mechanics slack it way too tight and hence accelerated wear.

It's a good thing. Paying upfront means, we know the importance of insurance, secondly, the five year packages for a two wheeler is a welcome change, as most riders do not renew their insurance policy post a year. This will mean peace of mind for users, third-party in case of any liability and OD. Actually five year is for Third Party liability, you have the option to choose between three year or five year, but insurance companies will stick to five year for their returns. You can actually bring it down to three years.

So, yes it's 5 years 3rd Party for 2 Wheelers and 3 years 3rd Party for Four Wheelers.

                  Cheers!

Thanks for informative post. If we are getting 5 yrs comprehensive coverage at discounted price its fine. 3rd party coverage alone is not enough.

From the image that you've posted, your chain can be used upwards of 8k plus kms more at the current setting. Make sure your chain is cleaned thoroughly, lubed and slacked right from the tightest part of the chain. Your chain sprocket can be used without needing a replacement.

                        Cheers!

                          Hey there folks..!!
I have completed 16000 kms on my FURY now and planning to change the Chain and Rear Sprocket. While browsing for some aftermarket sprockets, I came across the Lluvia touring 42 teeth sprocket. I even came across some old posts here in which someone has changed their sprocket to Lluvia touring 42 teeth sprocket.

                          I want to know,
if I use the Lluvia's rear sprocket, can I use the chain available from Bajaj or do I need an aftermarket chain too?
Also, if anyone has used it, how is the performance till now?
It doesn't matter what you ride. What matters is, You Ride.

R15 v3 and fz 250 has also vibration issues. Your fz 150 has one of the most refined engine because the compression ratio of your motorcycle is 9.5 which is way less, also it produces least power so it's smooth, but both fz 250 and r 15 have higher compression engine and thus have vibration issue.

Precisely what I meant to convey ... But in a simpler manner. Infact vibration just kills the fun and thrill as far as long runs are concerned.
