Good tyres offer confidence and grip.

Stick with stock sizes and move to better compound. There is also no need for dual compound on regular road use.

Count me, sold my BS4 July 2017 TB350 and planning to buy Dominar 400 (Red).

Any chance I can get black alloys?

Very difficult to get hands on a black alloy one. Check with all the dealers in your area if they have an old stock with the black alloy set and if they are willing to sell the old stock or just swap the rims.

Only option is to get them painted in black.

By the way, Red Dominar with Black alloys is the best combination.

Let's see. Red and black combination is deadly.

Heard the 5 years insurance is compulsory. Got a call from showroom to do 50% payment and get the bike before the compulsory rule chips in.

              Hi,

I have booked a red Dominar 400 ABS and I will be getting the bike on Monday. The showroom guy pitched for a plastic lamination on the bike paint and the pics looked good. Has anyone got it done and hows it? Also let me know if I have to check for anything during the bike delivery apart from the normal PDI. Thanks!

What is that plastic lamination bro? Can you elaborate it. Is it done on the petrol tank or only around the edges. Also, how much it costs?

Hi Guys. my Dominar is about 20 days old now and run around 250kms. Apart from the 1st gear even the second and third seem to shift with a thud!
One thing I noticed in one of my small long drive especially in 4th and 5th gear when I feather the throttle a hint there's no response for a second like no power..
I hear noise from rear especially over pot holes, is it due loose chain?
The engines still feels harsh at times or is it just me who is daily commute is a new Access 125 which is smooth?

That looks to me like the clutch could use some adjustments.
Plus get the chain tightened to proper specs.
There's a possibility that you may be upshifting a bit early and at lower revs.
Try to shift at 4K and things should get better. Plus its a new engine so it'll be a little harsh at first. With added kms and oil change, things should look better.

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Hello guys. Completed first 2k kms of run in period in my dominar a while ago. Now i try to ride it hard sometimes like it's meant to be.
Now the problem is when i try to accelerate it suddenly. It gives me kind of turbo lag in turbo car at around 4.5k rpm. N then power. Only the problem is lag period is so longer than cars. I don't know if it is present in all bikes or only mine! I don't remember if test ride vehicle had this problem. Is it common? It just ruins the thrill. It's not a smooth power delivery like they claim. It feels powerless for more than a second. And then give it a power. What could be the issue?

Get your air filter checked. But looks more like an issue in the ecu. This was a major issue on the initial batch. Now it seems to be fine with 117. However, get it checked.

Get the ecu reflashed. This thing you are trying to tell does happened with few but only once or twice just after crossing the 2000kms , something like rpm unlocking.
Ecu flash with latest files would definitely resolve this. Or else do get the af checked as told by hardik.

I think it's 117 for the abs and 116 for non-abs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
