    1. That could be the oil left after changing it. Usually when the drain bolt underneath the engine is removed, the oil gushes out in all directions. Some of it might have logged itself in some location and slowly appearing as drops when you parked on thr side stand. Use a clean cloth to clean the underside and exhaust part of the bike and check if the drain bolt is properly tightened.
    2. Shell normal fuel is Euro 6 compliant and is 91 octane petrol. There's no need to go for Xtra-Premium or Speed for Dominar. A clean normal Shell petrol works nicely.

I bought in july with bajaj hattrick offer from vadodara shisa bajaj manjalpur. Very professional guys. Sales person is Mitesh.
& they also some kind of dominar hall of fame. You get to give your autograph on dominar tank which is hanged in showroom itself.
There was lots of demand of Dominar in july because of newly introduced hattrick offer. I booked with 1 dealer prior shisa. They failed to give me a bike in promised 1 week. And were asking for more 15 days. I didn't wanted to let go that offer in any circumstances.
So i called shisa. And booked it with phone with the NEFT of only 5k. I asked for newly manufactured bike only. They provided me my choice of colour in mere 5 days. And newly manufactured of course. Very impressed. Click image for larger version

Hello guys. I know stock Dominar tyres are not upto mark. But didn't knew they were this bad for wet grip.
Because of ongoing monsoon these days and you all know our roads infrastructure. Even with the slightest of slush bike slip like anything. Last night it was really scary. I was merely at a speed of below 30. And my both tyres wereon a slush. Whole bike slipped from the middle of road to left side. Both tyres lost grip. I rode only 2k kms. Really dangerous tyres for such a wonderful bike. Are you guys having such a problems.

I knew from the 3rd day itself that tyres are not so good. Rear tend to slip a lot. But last night with both tyres skidding it was hell lot scary....

                Hi,

I am planning to buy Dominar 400. Please share feedback for the following points:
                a. City drive, I will be driving every day to the office (40 Kms round trip) with high traffic.
                b. Highway Drive - I will be doing weekend drives (around 200 KMs) and occasional long drives (~500 KMs).
                c. Milage - a. City Milage b. Highway Milage.
                d. Suspension - I will have my wife accompanying me where I go.
                e. Maintenance - Service interval and approx cost.

                My wheels
                a. Pulsar 180 (2005 Model).
                b. ZMR (2011 - 2017)
                c. Thunderbird (2017 - 2018).

                Regards,
                Antan Banerjee.

I was at a good lean angle and instead of upshifting from 4th to 5th,i accidentally downshifted to 3rd! [emoji33]
I almost immediately realized my mistake and for a moment froze realizing that I am going to fall very badly as the rear would have easily slid and I was also leant in.
Luckily the D400 and its slipper clutch just shrugged my mistake as if nothing happened. There was not even a minor twitch! There was no drama! I was the only 1 sweating!
Slipper clutch is indeed a life saver!
How did this happen? It might be cause dominar is comfortable so one tends to get lost in ride.

On my R15 v1 you virtually cannot make such mistake. It demands your attention all the time. Also if I was stupid enough to pull this off knowingly, I suspect it would be fine even without slipper clutch. Its that forgiving.

What is the tyre pressure you maintain. Ensure 29 front and 32 in rear tyres always. I usually keep 30 in rear since my tyre is very new and round profile and not flat, so if I am riding solo in such conditions. But it is not advised to keep more than 32. If you don't check, they bunk boys will fill 36 as they do to all bikes. [emoji52]

There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

The pressure is same as they've maintained during services. I'll check once again. Let's see.

Keep 29 front and 32 rear, 32 psi for front is too high.

                          Suspension is good.

Yes it does dance a lot on slush but normal wet surface it can handle.
The rear dance coz it has too much tourqe and nil traction, on a lighter machine like 100 cc scooter u won't feel this much dancing.
My experience with Apollo tyres on the slush is lot lot better then mrf.

Tyres do not affect milage, unless it is way odd size , say if i went 2 sizes up then there would have been a marginal hit. And going 2 size smaller could have positive effect but again marginally.
Good tyres offer confidence and grip.

Stick with stock sizes and move to better compound. There is also no need for dual compound on regular road use.
