The golden alloys are slowly growing on me and even people liking it on the streets (more attention).. but my surprise people tend to ask this a lot " which bike is this, which company" .. this could be because of no Bajaj branding anywhere on the bike, I have done my first free service, bike looks much smoother now...even on high gear I don't feel the initial rattling that I used to get...after the service its much better now... everything is nice...my only concern is .. I see a few oil drops whenever I enter my parking place... I have to go over a hump (speed breaker) while entering the place...after I park my bike and came back I could see a few drops of oil ... I did mention this to the service engineer ..he said the oil is from the tank any excess petrol near the tank cap spills out from the bottom...but I am not convinced as this should not happen continuously... I will be visiting the service center again to check if they have a better answer... guys please let me know if anyone shares a similar experience. I haven't done any modification so far, might look for a crash guard... I have seen few from some makers (Sahyadri motors) but they are out of stock ... the bike comes with all the required skills.... one need to find a way to make any changes... the stock bike has everything you need.

I have made my second visit to the service center, they said everything is ok ... they said it could be water..but I told them that its some kind of oil .. they did check for any loose connections but couldn't find any... they have refilled the coolant and asked me to observe for a few days...hope this issue will get sorted out quickly....

Here's a guy from Turkey who made a centre stand for the dominar. Looks like a job well done. Doesn't foul with the exhaust or the chain. Click image for larger version

Tightened the lock from inside, ask svc to do it. I faced same problem in my honda avaiator. The key also moves with the lock isn't it? Don't worry , it'sva simple work, take it to svc asap.

Any details? Center stand is badly needed for small small jobs like chain, tyre inspection, disk brake check etc. Only thing is welding on chasis is not prefered, it should be clamped solution.

Here's the video. Looks like he took an existing centre stand, cut the centre bar and made it wider. The new centre bar fits between the rear tyre and the catalytic converter. It rests on a small metal sheet welded onto the converter.

Had a wonderful ride to statue of unity yesterday. Both bikes performed excellent. And nothing can beat a long ride with a friend. It was a wonderful experience. There were lots of bikers there. Mostly from Maharashtra. Click image for larger version

Is anyone having problems with stock handlebar grips? The problem is it leaves black stains on hands even after 10 kms rides. It's loosing colour to hands. Never heard of these problems in any bike other than a friend's unicorn 150.

Any solution to it? I don't want to add any other additional grips. Strictly against those mods. Thank you.
Yes faysal i am also having same problem but only with left hand side grip, right hand side grip doestn't leave any black marks.

I would suggest you people to wait for few months then once 2019 Dominar is released the catalytic converter is moved inside the silencer thus we can replace the new silencer eliminating the CATCON and getting a normal center stand without much modification. This is just what i think if it doesn't make more sense, Sure this is a good way and the only way to get center stand as of now.

Yesterday me and my wife had a busy afternoon, doing what? We connected this Mobile Charger Plus Holder to our beast..

Ideally as per the wires provided in the package it was supposed to be connected to the battery directly and used by the switch provided on the holder, but you all know the downfall of doing that (Can't risk random people charging and draining the battery, ultimately you will need to push start the bike.. OMG..! That's a big task..)

This is not a detailed step by step post, just FYI types...
Do not perform when the bike is running or key is inserted.. You only need your key to open up the pillion seat..

                            Now...

The electrical clips that came attached to the wire in my package were like below,

I cut out the positive electrical clip the mobile holder wire (red wire) had so that I could clip it with the below

The package comes with a L-Key that opens up the two screws below the headlamps as well, so was pretty useful..

Headlamps..! Why? Well I needed to access the ignition set up..

Note: You will need additional 4 nose screw driver to open up the rest of the screws and also there are clip locks at the near the bottom sides of the headlamp before you get there..

As shown in the above image I plugged the newly attached clip in the Brown wire of the ignition set up, it's easy as there is space to plug in the clip without even opening anything.. The only reason why I mentioned that clip.. (Well that was sheer luck, I didn't even know I would need it there when I bought it )

Once that's done, run the negative wire through the gaps between your tank and the black portion of the body, use a small finger to run the clip below the chassis and then connect it to the negative (For this you will have to remove the screw from the battery insert the clip else use the half clip in the image two and plug by simply loosening a bit. Don't forget to tighten it up again). Take care of the sparks, don't touch the terminals please (In case your positive is connected, which will obviously be or you have to first unplug positive and then do it)..
You must be thinking, the wire will look odd on the side of the bike, but no.. Once you are done just pull the wire in a bit and it's gone inside the body.. Only wire that you see is near the handlebar running in the headlamps and the chassis.. Can't help that..

                            When opened up...

Just close everything that you opened up when you are done..

Attach the holder to your handle bar..

                            Once done... Have fun..

                            Future check -
                            1. Since the wire runs near the radiator the wire insulation will get brittle over a period of time due to heat.. I couldn't find a wiring cover around my place but may be you could get one.. For me, I will replace the wire myself once it's brittle..
                            2. Do let your SVC guys know you about the wire so that they accidentally don't chip it off...

Not sure about that.. All I know is that one shouldn't chip of the wire or connectors (The guy at the SVC told me this, who looks after new bikes before being delivered).. I didn't do either.. So that shouldn't be a problem...

Also, I don't understand why would drawing power from battery void warranty as battery is meant to draw power from...
