No I haven't washed it at all since I bought it except for the wash done during 3rd service. Bike is just over 1 year old, even if we do wash it daily, it shouldn't start rusting so soon. My 10 year old P150 still doesn't show this level of rust anywhere.
Just Bajaj things. Don't worry about it, just observe it for while after cleaning it with kerosene and if it repeats, it's better to get the bike consulted.

    Cheers!

Clean the rust with coke and it will be okay. Remember to not use a lot of coke.

Yamahas are known to be prone to such rusting on the frame since rx100 days. Have faced it and it's not a major issue. Relax and ride

They require the same amount of lubrication and cleaning as the stock. Regarding the Illuvia, it all comes down to your personal preference. The Illuvia is a 47 tooth sprocket compared to 45 on the stock. I would suggest you stick to stock for better top speed. If you want more in gear acceleration, you can choose the Illuvia sprocket. But it all comes down to preference.

Regarding tire life, it's feel and factor that lets the rider know when to replace the tires. You can inspect your tire and if it's worn accordingly it's time to replace.

Bro, i am trying to replace my front sprocket with that of Duke 250 or 390 adv. which has 14 tooth. Does it make any noticeable difference? Anyone helping me out on this, please?

There will be changes in your the bike behaviours (speed vs power I think) when you play around with the sprocket teeth. Watch this video for better understanding.

Not sure if any other changes need to be done to the bike with different teeth.

Yup absolutely you can use the Duke 250's front 14 tooth sprocket, this would make the bike more peppier, and you will hit the top speed faster. Gives you great torque spread.

              Hey guys,

I have left my bike in Bangalore and moved to my hometown in March (just before the lockdown), so I haven't seen my bike since then. It so happens that I will need to ride it home (about 650km). I am going to Bangalore soon, so please give me a list of things I need to check before I head home. I have only a one day window to get the bike back to running condition (only incase there is something that needs attention), so I may miss/overlook something.

My bike is a UG, with only 3k km on the odo.

Do a visual inspection for any obvious damages like wires being chewed up by rats, leaks, tires for any embedded objects etc..
empty out the fuel that's been sitting all these months. tank up with fresh fuel. top up the air in tires.
check engine oil level, top up if required. Or change engine oil+filter if possible.
check and top up coolant if required.
get the battery checked/recharged if required. normally not required if it starts up n there is no battery warning.. it will charge as you ride it.
let the bike idle for 5-10 minutes and observe for any weird noises, leaks etc..
ride the bike around the city for a few km and see if you notice any problems.
don't be alarmed if you see some water droplets being ejected from the exhaust, that's normal in some cases where the vehicle has been sitting unused/run less. I recently observed this happening.. at first i was alarmed thinking it was oil leak (i used to idle my duke 200 for like 5 mins once a week during the lockdown) but after looking all under the engine couldn't spot a wet area on the engine cases. then i noticed that the wet spot on the ground used to vanish after a couple of hours.. and then touched it and realized it was just water vapor being thrown out the exhaust.. and duke having under belly exhaust this would end up on the ground. same phenomena was observed on some cars in my apt that weren't used much during this period.. a couple of them had a wet spot (with a bit of carbon deposits) on the floor around the exhaust

if you want to carry some spares.. have a spare clutch cable and a tire inflator+puncture repair tool kit.

Hi, In Dominar , below the pillion seat , there is a small device named termination unit. This unit burned out in my bike with thick white smoke , when bike was parked after a very short ride , approx 4km. Though bike is starting and no abnormal indications on console , this unit is heat up and smoke coming out when i start the bike.

Anyone faced issue with this unit. KTM guys told that its unit used to terminate the engine on certain conditions , like sloting the gear when side stand deployed..etc..

Any sort of smoke, whether it affects a bike's performance or not is a RED FLAG, and must be attended too immediately. Electrical faults can worsen in an instant and completely burn the wiring or worse the bike itself. Get your bike bike's fuses, wiring thoroughly inspected, the faulty relay units replaced. Electrical arcing and smoke can turn into disaster when you least expect. Keep your observations posted.

                    Cheers!

Also it seems engine kill switch is connected through this unit. I can hear a relay switching kind of sound from this unit when bike is turned on and while using the engine kill switch. I have checked all fuses and everything is fine, correct amperes, nothing blown. Wonder, why this unit burned out without blowing any fuse.

Anyways, I had mailed to Bajaj Customer care and they have in turn asked the ASC to get this checked. I am waiting for them to pick up my bike. Will update once I get to know from ASC.

                      Thanks

a squeaking sound like some gravel or stone is preventing something from spinning (i could only think of that) started at about 300 km on my new bike i took bike for first service , it was rectified. but now after first service while coming home i noticed a rattling sound like some net or bolt is loose and the sound amplifies when vibrations are more like at 4000 rpm it started about riding 50+ km after servicing.the sound i think is coming from front side of bik.. don't know what it is.i m new to big bikes..can anyone point out what it can be..?? and that squeaking sound that brother mentioned in previous posts was horrible it was coming from front sprocket cover for sure where that bajaj logo is.but its gone for now...and please help me with that rattling sound if anyone faced that

I presume it comes from the front sprocket cover. There is a similar sound that comes because of some play between the front sprocket and the output shaft. In my case it disappears after a quick lube on the teeth of the shaft.

There is a widely spread issue in Dominars - rattling of upper display against its frame. Check this and in case it's correct disassemble the headlight unit, put off the upper display, put some anti-vibration strap around it and assemble everything back.
In my case it helped a lot.
