Please tell how u didi it svc or home or local mech and what kind of tool was used.Originally posted by benz View PostI have changed the suspension to the lowest(Softer) setting. I am 67KG and now I feel that this setting is right for me. With Pillion it is little more softer, when you have a long bump the bike swings up and down with pillion driver and at above 80kmph.
Thanks.

Hey , i have seen that exaust and i would like to confess that its not all that great. Its a lightweight exaust for sure , but 28500 then if you remove the exaust and cat con, and it sounds all loud till 3k-4k but then it just shouts! Dominars engine can't make sound, stock exaust is the best deal you can get!Originally posted by ksibendra View PostThanks for your reply brother.. even i have checked the video but it sounds louder as if its fitted in a pulsar 150.. its better i will stick to the stock exhaust as it has a bassy sound..
Actually i was thinking to make it sound like a benelli
But benelli's sound will always be a classy and dominar will always be dominar in bassy sound..

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hey i recently did a 600kms ride. I was constantly at 120-130. Took only 4 stops. 3 of them were for refueling. The small capacity and then the efficiency dropped due to constant 120-130 . Pushed it to 140+ sometimesOriginally posted by abhisheklalnediya View PostAny one did long rides?? 500+
How is the ride quality?
How is the ride for cruising? What the best cruise speed?

and next lot comes by end of this week. so planning to go by then and pick a ride.
What are the things to check before choosing the ride?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
It a general pattern, on the lower end of the suspension where the coil meet. You can see multiple slots facing down with varrying sizes. The smallest make the suspension stiff while the longest make it the softest. Our showroom guys make the bike stiffest while delievery (stupid idea) .Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostIt would help if anyone had deciphered the aligned green dots on the mono shock. The SC gut told me that default is softest which is when the green dots alliign. Anyone know any different?

I saw the tool they use while adjusting my suspension. It is a big thingy. It wont fit anywhere for that matter.Originally posted by sman999 View PostGuys is there a rear suspension adjustment tool provided in your tool kit? I searched the tool kit today to adjust it and ended up in disappointment. My CBR had the tool handy for adjustment. Also is the rear suspension of the latest BSIV RS 200/NS 200 and D400 are same? any one aware?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I think i know what you mean. It is that arc shaped spanner with a really long handle? some svc have that long reach handle(or do a juggad to weld a piece of metal to extend it) for ease of use. This is probably what you saw at the svc. Earlier even the ktm's did not come with the suspension adjustment wrench, but later on it was included in the tool kit(iirc late 2014 when the rc's were launched). So yeh, there is a shorter version of the tool which fits into the toolkit and maybe in future it might be included in the tool kit. The short one though can be a pain to use for some.Originally posted by ROHAN SPEEDOFREAK SHARMA View PostI saw the tool they use while adjusting my suspension. It is a big thingy. yes, the default is towards the softer/balanced end of the adjustment range. You probably can go softer by two or three more steps to reach its minimum preload setting. The green dot probably indicates factory setting. You see the wave pattern on the mono, as you turn it clock wise (seeing from behind) the lower portion with green dot, will 'sit' in a lower groove('softer') and vice versa.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostIt would help if anyone had deciphered the aligned green dots on the mono shock.
