If you look from back its clockwise(You need to pull from chain side of the bike towards the silencer side), you can see the notch going towards the left and thats the end of that setting.Originally posted by deepDmnr View Post

You can try shoe strap it is a starp kind of thing with elastic band and it slips over the shoe and has leather or rubber top. my bike has just covered roughly 250km and oil level on my bike is quite low i believe..
Ideally you have to let the bike idle for a minute, and then shut it down and wait for around a minute and then check the oil level with the bike UPRIGHT (not on side or main stand).. and the oil level has to be between the upper & lower markings.
If you check the oil level with the bike on side stand or if it has just been shut off, then the oil level might appear to be 'low'

this is the proper way to check oil level. Have a small round around the block or set it to idle for a minute shut off the engine wait for a minute now hold the bike straight and check the oil level . This way it would show the correct level and if you check on cold engine the level is always low I tried that on my D400.
@PDEBANSHI this is the oil used at service by svc here in Delhi and it is by Total and is as good as motul.

Hey guys, I finally got the bike yesterday. Did the PDI and got the documents. The guy handling the whole Dominar section, explained the different aspects of the bike. Being a first time buyer I was totally intimidated by the whole process, to the point I forgot to take a step back and a deep breath, and when I did that, boy oh boy, that is one sweet looking machine. And it sounds equally amazing as it looks. After getting the bike and posing for a pic ( the pic taken was pretty bad, so not uploading it here :P), I took it to the nearest pump to get it topped. I got a couple of scares when riding this for a prolonged period. During the test ride when the bike is all broken in, keeping it sane is the last thing on your mind. But now when you actually have a new machine in your hands, you worry about a hundred different things. At a signal, the bike didnt crank for a few times and that scared the crap out of me. But after that no such issues were there. Just a couple of points that I have noticed:
-When almost reaching home, I started hearing a shrill metallic sound. I thought it must be the bubble wrap around the crash guards ( which it wasn't since I rode it after removing them and the sound still persisted). It appeared only on 2nd and above gears. Now it doesn't come as often as it did earlier.
- The seat doesn't seem to be that comfortable. Even my wife told me that the pillion seat is hard. It might be the suspension setting, but when i ride i dont feel the bad roads unlike the Discover. So does the seat have to broken into as well?
-Couple of times when i took it to higher gears I felt a bit of loss of power. As in like a slight dip in power and then it becomes normal. Is this normal during the first few kms?
-I have been reading about breaking into the engine. I try to vary the RPM but I am not taking it above 5K and thats what the Bajaj guy told me to stick to for the first 1000 kms . Also I am trying to mix the break in procedure with the one in the manual. So not sure if this is the right way. Did you guys follow any particular method in breaking into the bike?
But overall an exhilarating experience. Hope to munch many miles on 'Po'

Please clarify my doubt. I observed yesterday that the ABS light in the secondary display goes off only after the bike starts moving and picks up some speed. It DOES NOT go off if key is rotated only once, although all the other lights go off before the engine is started. Is this behavior normal or should I consult the Service Centre.

If abs turned on @ rest, your bike would keep sliding down on a slope even with both brakes applied. Abs needs to cut out below a certain speed that indicates intent to stop.Originally posted by kishanm77 View PostThanks a lot. I am relieved

Guys is there a rear suspension adjustment tool provided in your tool kit? I searched the tool kit today to adjust it and ended up in disappointment. My CBR had the tool handy for adjustment. Also is the rear suspension of the latest BSIV RS 200/NS 200 and D400 are same? any one aware?Ride Safe!
