Thanks brother.

I Ride Alone one more thing idle rpm should rest at 1.5k, and if there is too much variations in the idle rpm like going high or too low or getting stuck at a certain rpm then u need to get the throttle body replaced as someone has face this issue in the older map his bike's rpm has too much up down at idle and gets stuck at 2.5k , so the they changed his throttle body.
Thanks @ljs
Throttle body remains at factory settings, service Engineer also advised against increasing idling rpm through throttle body.

The rpm is stable at 1.5K, except when the radiator is on. It fluctuates slightly when the radiator is on. Which I think is normal.

Definitely fuel efficiency has dropped. It used be 33kmpl easily on highways(110kmph max) but now after the 112 map update it's gone down to 30kmpl. City is even worse 24-26kmpl.

Yeah. Same here. 2-3kmpl drop on avg.
Bajaj should do something to fix it.
Or else let's go back to the old ECU map. XD

Hi, is it possible to go back? Also, the bike is giving jerks when I am crossing 10kmph (sometimes). Have dropped the bike at showroom again today. Let's see what happens. Also, rear Tyre was leaking from side. God knows what is wrong.

It's not possible to downgrade the ECU. What reason was given by the service guys about the jerks?

Really? Why is the not possible? I always thought it was like any other OS updates on mobile phones.

The ECU tool doesn't store old maps. It has only one map for a particular model. So once it is updated by the Bajaj people to the current firmware, The old map is removed from the tool.

Yeah that's ok. But why can't we reflash and go back to the old map?

If the tool has the old map then yes, we can. I'd go back.

Even i saw this. Thankfully the rider is okay, and the damage to the bike doesn't seem to be terminal. So that's at least something to smile about.
P. S. On a lighter note, the moment I saw that s pic, my ears started ringing 'SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR!'. (WWE reference, remember Edge)

Is it normal or do I have to get it checked?
This never happened in my bike , rpm never goes up unless i give some throttle do get is checked up and also confirm with ur fellow riders.

I think yes little fluctuations when fan is on is normal, but get ur ecu flashed again.

Here guys have reported minor increase in the fe after the new map, unlike what i read here on xbhp. I am yet to check fe on my bije post the update , would check it soon and let u guys know. I was getting 26.60kMpl to be precise in city and 32 to 36kMpl on highway in the older map.

U can reset the ecu and clear ita cache or memory to remover the error codes , but can bot go to older map unless it is hard feeded or loaded to the hardware.
I have made a video for ecu reset u can search it on YouTube. Search Bajaj Dominar 400 ecu reset.

I have asked a few fellow dominar owners and they have said that even their bike goes upto 2.5k rpm when clutch is pressed and bike is moving. I even asked a technician and he said it was a feature to reduce jerking when shifting.

Mileage drop is sure thing. 3kmpl drop. My driving is the same before and now.

If the technician told u it is normal than ok, as he is right , here slipper clutch adjust the rpm to reduce the engine breaking, but never noticed this on my bike, i have just returned from a breakfast ride and especially tried it but unless i gave some throttle the rpm never increased. Would check that again tomorrow.

Please do. Also check what rpm the bike stays on when throttle is not give, ie in 1st gear.

Mine is at 2.5k rpm, 11kmph.

A few members said this number drops to 1.5rpm and 5-6kmph after the update but its the same for me.
