Without helmet we can hear hear all kind of noise and some wising sound from chain is normal while riding without helmet and is present in all open chain. Try not to ride without helmet.

P.S.: This is my first bike with open chain setting, so please excuse for the ignorance.

3M chain spray is not that great...try Motul or Tribocor...

check the chain slack or any uneven sprocket wear...Also a little noise is inevitable in normal riding conditions.

Termination unit is basically a relay. So it could be the starter relay or the contact discharge ignition(cdi) relayor the ecu relay.
It is a relay that is for sure.
Would confirm with the mech once i vist the svc.

Guys...if you are not comfortable with the handlebar and are having wrist, shoulder discomfort, try to move the handlebar forward.

Loosen the four screws and move adjust the handlebar forward till you are comfortable.
Make sure you are seated on the bike while doing this.

After this adjustment, the lever clamps need to be adjusted to be in the same plane as your palm.

The riding position becomes more upright if the handlebar is moved forward. I felt better control as well.

The adjustment is specific to each rider, based on height, arm length and posture preference.

Try different setup until you are comfortable.

                Cheers.

Finally some good news for us all. I'm sorry if it's a bit too long, but it's kinda important, especially for whoever is having any issue with their Domis or even if U may have any issues in the near future. Please spare a few minutes and read. It will help πŸ‘

After waiting for a good 18 minutes on hold for the Bajaj customer care (no.: 1800 233 2453) executive to answer the call (trust me this is the only frustrating part), they quickly registered my complaint regarding the hard gearshifts, false neutrals and the cuts on my rear tyre.

Spontaneously after giving all the required details and hanging up, I received a text message mentioning the complaint being raised and the ticket number.

The very same day in the evening, I was contacted by the Bajaj head of service for all two wheelers in my state (Goa), Mr. Raju. He politely asked about the issues in detail and asked me when I was free to visit the nearest SVC and he would come there and inspect the bike. I set an appointment for 2 days hence.

Met Raju and showed him the bike, explained to him the issues surrounding the clutch, gears and false neutrals. He then took a short ride for almost 2 minutes, instantly noticed the clutch setting was too tight, made the main mechanic adjust it and then along with the main mechanic at the SVC, went for a longer test ride for almost 15 minutes.

Came back with him, dropped the mechanic and took me for a ride, was very considerate to explain the nits and fine details of how to ride this bike, and also asked me about my past bike ownership, and how I generally ride a bike. His mind was put to ease knowing I had a 1st gen NS and used to ride my brother's RC390 too. He then stopped and asked me to take over. Shockingly I instantly noticed a major improvement with the gearshifts and the best part, the false neutrals seemed to have disappeared, for now (needed more time to confirm and yes it has disappeared).

We then rode back to the SVC and told him about the rear tyre cuts, he desperately tried to check for the cut, but unfortunately it was pouring heavily that day and I encountered a lot of muck along the way, so we couldn't find it. He told me, not an issue, once U go home and find it, click a photo and mark it too. If there is a cut, MRF will be asked to replace the tyre FOC!!!

Also regarding the moisture in the headlamp and speedometer, he said its bound to happen in the rains, but if even a drop of water lands inside, or the moisture that builds up inside has a lot of water droplets that don't dry quick, click a photo instantly and we will replace the entire unit FOC again!!!

Also, he agreed to the issue about the tank pad and its a complaint from all Dominar owners, he said it will be replaced FOC (yet, again πŸ˜€) with the new better quality one during my second servicing as they don't have it in stock, but he made the main technician make it a point and noted my name, number and bike registration number too in case the pad comes earlier!

He then asked me if there were any other issues and if he could go ahead and close the ticket based on the feedback given by me. I was just beyond words and happily said absolutely you can πŸ‘

Honestly, was very impressed by the way they handled everything, Bajaj has truly improved a great deal since the early days and they truly believe in customer satisfaction, at least for us Dominar owners. Also, I waited for 2 weeks since this episode and I can confidently say even the false neutrals no longer exist and my bike seems perfect, except for the fact that I was able to find 1 cut on my tyre after washing the bike and also the more importantly, the fact that Bajaj has still not responded to my e-mail πŸ˜‚

Good luck and ride safe everyone πŸ‘

Don't worry, just take it to any local bike mechanic or even your own trusted bike mechanic and they'll fix it in a jiffy. It's a 2 mins fix and doesn't require the expertise of people working at the Bajaj SVC. Don't try fixing it on your own though cause it could be slightly troublesome and you may need to try and watch a few videos and vlogs before understanding the minor complexity involved. Just 10 bucks and 2 mins at your local mechanic will do the trick πŸ˜‰

Same with us here, it is their inherent bug which need rectification by BAL.

Tribocor is hard to get. Some guy recommended using Rust Oleum PTFE instead. Tried that, it's a dry lube. Now chain has rust spots with 3 weeks of non stop rains in Pune. So i am back to spraying what Bajaj sells.
Only plus point with ptfe is that mud does not stick to it.

Try rolon chain lube spray or the Nulon grease spray. Nulon is thick and would stay longer. The fact is Dominar's chain gets dry sooner than most others as it is bigger and runs faster. I use a local generic spray and my lube intervals are 300 to 400kms or whenever it feels too dry. I try to clean it at 1000kms.
