Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
It is normal for the rpm to rise after a long ride and settle at 1.5k but not normal if it doesn't settle at 1.5k idle. Long rise or a on a hot engine on a hot day this can happen.Originally posted by omkappoor999 View PostIf the rpm fluctuations are too much then there must be something wrong with the throttle body get it checked asap. First they would clean and adjust it if that not work, they would change it. As i have seen this in one bike where rpm is fluctuating too much and geta stuck at 3k so they changed the throttle body.Originally posted by Christo4 View Post

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Got the RVMs changed to that of RTR
It is the best of simple mods one can do on the Dominar.

Is the visibility better? What improvement could you notice? As of now I'm struggling with half the mirror blocked with my elbow.Originally posted by Invincible View PostGot the RVMs changed to that of RTR

What was the cost of the mirrors?

Pls check the photo. You can see the new mirror covers much larger area. The visibility on the road has improved by miles. Definitely recommended. Cost about Rs.450 per pair.Originally posted by nikhn View PostIs the visibility better? What improvement could you notice? As of now I'm struggling with half the mirror blocked with my elbow.

You may also consider mirror extender from AliExpress. Improves visibility.Originally posted by nikhn View PostIs the visibility better? What improvement could you notice? As of now I'm struggling with half the mirror blocked with my elbow.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Thanks. Will try them then. The original mirrors are poor in terms of visibility.Originally posted by Invincible View PostPls check the photo. You can see the new mirror covers much larger area. The visibility on the road has improved by miles. Definitely recommended. Cost about Rs.450 per pair.
But in terms of a wider view, it doesn't solve the purpose. Thanks anyways.Originally posted by I Ride Alone View PostYou may also consider mirror extender from AliExpress. Improves visibility.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello,
My odo is now 2800. Faced a strange issue few days back. My speedo n tachometer suddenly stopped working after brief moment of freeze while riding in nearby highway.Abs stopped working too. Checked at low speed lateron at a dhaba premises. Everything else was normal. Went to Bajaj svc at kharagpore. They diagnosed the problem as abs sensor cable malfunction from the symptoms and replaced the same after 5days. They told me the cable is from rs200 according to their parts Manual. After the servicing, the speedo n abs both started functioning properly, but, I'm feeling feeble pulsating response in break lever when abs is getting activated, the feel and intensity are definitely changed for worse. Don't know if it's my mind or actually
to the sensor cable.. Can anybody let me know whether rs200 and dominar do share this sensor cable or not from any source? Thanks in advance. Live safe,Ride safe.

Update: Just researched a little, checked both rs200 and Dominar spare parts catalogue and found the "hose Abs to front caliper" / "Kit hose caliper to Abs" parts no are different.. '36 DT00 44' for rs200 and '36 JF00 65' for Dominar. Not quite sure whether they differ by name only or any other characteristic difference are present also. Kindly, someone with more experience in this field shed some light.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
If the part number is different then the part must be different. And i dont think it is only a cable related issue. First check with some other bike and see if u can feel same pulsations or not , then get the sensor checked. Also write a mail to Bajaj stating ur issue in details and do state that you are not satisfied with the replacement part. Or get hold of your areas local bajaj engineer and escalate the matter.Originally posted by DrBeatsB View PostHello,
