Check the 520 which implies an inner width of 6.35 mm.

      Hi All,

I got me Dominar 400 Moon White ABS delivered on the 19th of July from Middya Bajaj, Howrah, West Bengal. I had booked mine from Rolta Bajaj, but they were postponing delivery indefinitely. And no other showroom in Kolkata had the White ABS available, seems Bajaj is really trying to push the Matte Black.

Anyway, I got valuable feedback from this thread..thanks to everyone for sharing. I have a few questions. I have tried my best to look for these answers and sorry if they have already been answered.

      1. What will be the best service center in Kolkata to get my first service ?
      2. Does Bajaj allow aftermarket engine oil, if yes, should I get Motul 7100 at first service ?
      3. How do I know if my ECU has been updated ?
      4. Anyone know any good place in Kolkata to get Knuckle Guards / Hazard Lights installed ?

      Thanks in advance.

        Congratulations for the acquisition mate!
As for your queries, what i feel is:

        2. Does Bajaj allow aftermarket engine oil, if yes, should I get Motul 7100 at first service ?- It's best to go with the engine oil recommended by bajaj and used at SVC at least for the first service.
        3. How do I know if my ECU has been updated ?- SVC technicians would be of help. The can check the ECU for the map.

If you feel the engine RPM going up and down while you're simultaneously engaging the clutch then we have worn clutch plates.

As soon as you release the clutch, the bike should stall, if the engine RPM ups and downs while releasing the clutch, and there is a significant amount of lever release before the engine stalls, we have a worn plates.

To make it more clear, park the front wheel against a wall. Crank the bike, after the engine is adequately warmed up, engage the gear to third and very very slowly start releasing the clutch, the bike should stall immediately when the load on the clutch gets more. If you feel the engine is running while the lever is being released more than 3 to 4 mm, you plates are worn.

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

And I hear that mini motor sound whenever I apply brake, Even if I apply the brakes softly I do hear that noise.

I'll be taking the bike to SC by Monday and I'll update.

The sound was due to chain, and it was rectified in SC. And I'm facing a new issue, that is fluctuating of RPM while idling and even while cruising at constant speed.

Is this issue common and should it be looked into?

If your plates are worn out, your engine won't turn off immediately, the engine rpm will go up and down erratically and you will release a lot of clutch before the engine turns off so that means your plates are worn.

                                Cheers!
