I joined XBHP recently and I have been using Dominar for the past 2 months and clocked 1100 kms on it. I have ridden it in bumper-bumper traffic as well as on highways and here are my thoughts regarding my bike. This is not a review and points mentioned are solely according to my experience

    1. Power delivery is awesome and it is a bliss to ride it on highways. In city traffic it gets heated up a bit though.
    2. Coming to its weight, it does not feel heavy when riding on highways. But, in city traffic its weight becomes much evident. Because of its long turning radius taking U-turns is a bit pain. Riding solo in city traffic is much better than having a pillion.
    3. It vibrates a lot in 4000-4500 RPM range, but post 4.5K it is butter smooth. Even though the manual says max speed till 2K kms is 85KMPH I could not control my desire to go beyond 110KMPH(only 2-3 times though).
    4. Brakes does a decent job. But while riding in rain and if the bike gets wet, I dont feel brakes are working sometimes. Also, stock tyres are not meant to ride it on wet surfaces.
    5. LED headlights are not that great as claimed by Bajaj.
    6. Only thing I did not like about Dominar is its rear view mirrors. No matter how much I adjust them, visibility is hardly around 30%.
    7. Being a sports tourer, Bajaj should have included a windscreeen visor which helps in reducing windblast.

Honestly speaking, this is the best bike for me in this price segment and I don't regret choosing it.

Guys my friend got his Dominar delivered today. The rpm on tachometer won't go above 4k rpm but the real rpm rises higher (can know by sound). Is it an issue or something ?? Any help appreciated.

A friend of mine has starting problem- he went for outing and on return his engine went off just before his entrance and wont start again even after help from fellow owners. It has peculiar problem, the side indicator glows on retraction, when put on stand it goes off. He has done some 500+ km only. He will take his ride to SVC tomorrow. Any suggestion.

Could be a issue with side stand sensor and there is a thin electrical wire going to clutch lever that prevents bike to start in case of stand is down. Or simply could be a lose connector or couplers.

Is it the toolkit in there, is it secure. Also check if the battery is secured.
I hear something that sounds like the petrol tank plastic but that is only for when i am not careful going over potholes.
A bullet fares much better with its spoked wheels. My friend hardly gets bothered by uneven surface.
On good surface, is a different story and i works rather be on the dominar.
Get the gear play adjusted for that clunky sound. Every dominar has it. It's reduced a great deal from before.
Not sure if it's a good idea but i leave the bike in neutral only for cold start.
In case of traffic stops, i start bike with clutch depressed in first gear so no knocking sound

Take out the toolkit for a few days just to eliminate that as source of sound.
