Do it it would be a great ride just keep varing the rpm and try not to go beyond 100kmph or keep it to 5k or under. It would do just fine. Take break every 1hr. And to be on safe side keep coolant with u as new bikes are filled with lesser quantity and a new engine tends to consume more. Or just get it topped up to the max mark before ur trip. For the initial 100kmph try keeping it at 4.5k heck i took it to 5k on the first day itself.Originally posted by ananthuthilakan View PostYeah i do agree but i need to take the bike to tvm where i work. I must admit that the breakin procedure is nearly impossible during long drive bcz eventhough speed varied the rpm was almost constant.
So i did the procedure of varying rpm in the initial 25km. Then took the ride as usual.
But kept the rev limit to 4.5 k and speed less than 90kmph. After pdi , i actually checked almost everything on the bike (took around 1 hr for self inspection😋😋😂 as ramchalla explained)
The coolant level was at max before starting the ride , reached the destination sound and safe.
Domi is also fine , it was an amazing ride with her.💐😍.
Gave 15 min breathing time every 60 to 80 km
Ride safe |: obey rules
Thank you

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hey pals ,
Can anybody help us contacting a bajaj headoffice person regarding our issues..
We in our state are facing a lot of issue with our bike and with the service guys also..
Whenever we open up our problems with them they behave as if the company has'nt given them proper training..
We are from bhubaneswar , odisha our service centres are vianayak bajaj and bharath bajaj..
Me n my group members are facing a power lag issue and vibration from all the edges of our bike..
As we have heard here in our forum that power lag gets solved after the new update , we asked them to update ours and there reply was that bajaj told us to testride each bike and if the power lag happens then only the software will be updated.. in no ways they agree to update our bike and spares availablity are a serious matter , as a friend of mine is waiting for a bolt which they said will be available after 1 and half month..
So for this issuea we need to contact any such person who must be having some knowledge.. as i have done a mail regarding this to bajaj and there is no reply from them..
Kindly help us.. thanx in advance..

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
It should be 8.5k , the light should glow at 8.5k rpm irrespective of older or new ecu. And once the light glows u can feel the power cut but it can go till 9k with a modulated throttle.Originally posted by panda_inline4 View PostMy dominar rev limits at 8k when running and i dont see any rev limit light on in any gears...but in idle i blip the throttle the light turns on...is this the old ecu s/w version...
If u are facing any lag or power loss or missing get the ecu updated . Otherwise ask for it when u go for service.
New ECU map is made available post 17th April.
