Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Yeah, i am ok with the bike, vibrations and all. I have had an OMFG moment when i twisted the throttle and no power on the highway, had to pull to the side. So i thought maybe go for it. Maybe increased fuel flow at low rpm? Will discuss with sc.Originally posted by vengalabdj View PostDont go for the update if you think the bikes vibrations are okay and the jerking below 3k rpm is bearable. Because you'll observe a drop in FE and id rather wait for a later update.

Had a surprising experience today. I went for the ECU update 112, only to find out I already had that version. And yes I triple checked it. No doubt I wasn't facing throttle lag thing like it's there with most of the users.
Had bought my bike in first week of April, the only other thing I was sure about was manufacturing date which was only a week before my purchase.
In that case just for information: FE: constantly hitting 30 kmpl mark for close to three months now, mostly city riding With 2700 kms covered.

Bro, I don't agree to your post..Actually, ever since getting the ECU updated, my domi's FE has actually improved..on the last 2 tank fulls, I've got FE of 29-30 kmpl with all the riding being done in city..Originally posted by vengalabdj View PostDont go for the update if you think the bikes vibrations are okay and the jerking below 3k rpm is bearable. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I used to get around 32kmpl before the update, which was actually great FE😂. Now it dropped to same as yours... 28/29kmpl now. Driving style is the same. Sedate in the city. I ride aggressively during rides.Originally posted by Usual suspect View PostBro, I don't agree to your post..Actually, ever since getting the ECU updated, my domi's FE has actually improved..on the last 2 tank fulls, I've got FE of 29-30 kmpl with all the riding being done in city..

Can you elaborate on that? I heard of only one case of rim bend so far.Originally posted by harry032701 View PostThe rim bending problem is real..
Also got the fe of 35kmpl in city with half tank of extra premium and half tank of speed 97.. i think 97 will do wonders..

Yea although the bike was carrying a good weight i may have ran over a pot hole and the bend is soo minor, no air leakage right now.. may be the weight and potholes are responsible but i saw a bend in the left side of the rim.Originally posted by leech View PostCan you elaborate on that? Do send a picture of that rim to Bajaj customer care. If a number of people complain about the rims, then they might do something about it.Originally posted by harry032701 View PostYea although the bike was carrying a good weight i may have ran over a pot hole and the bend is soo minor, no air leakage right now.. may be the weight and potholes are responsible but i saw a bend in the left side of the rim.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
It will increase.Originally posted by harry032701 View PostFor sure sir, if i see it increasing i will do that..
Gst will be 28% just like any other bike, which will make bikes cheaper than now.
But dominar being above the 350cc bracket, will attract additional 3% luxury tax which will make it expensive.
Government has put a slab of 350cc with 28% gst, above 350cc will be placed under luxury items..

Or do a 70-80 and get a mileage of around 41 on a 390Originally posted by bikersdream View PostWhy do you expect more mileage from a sports bike?
Get any 100cc bike for that purpose.
Anyway for getting best mileage out of 370cc engine be very gentle on throttle.
Try to keep speed of around 90 kmhr on 6th gear. This way you can manage around 30kmpl on an average which is best for any such powerful bike.
