Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi All,
I would like to have information on issue I have started facing since past 1 day from my Dominar.
Till now, i have rode 2600 KMS on my Dominar. The issue is when i drive Dominar in 3rd to 6th gear. there's a clik-clik sound getting generated from left side of the bike. it is coming from the gear lever or near area & it is so annoying.(i suspect is it the chain sound but can't identify exactly) i can hear it on plain road & it is less audible in buzy traffic.
Can somebody suggest me, what is this issue?
I went to siddi vinayak service center to get it checked & found the mechanic won't be available till Monday or Tuesday?
I'm very worried about my Bike. I love it so much. Please help.
Note: Recently at 2000 KMS, i lubed the chain with "Motul C2 Chain lube"
Thanks,

I am from Vadodara. Confirmed from the showroom here that the update still has not been rolled out and the engineer will come next week to update the software. Are you saying that the ECU update is available in Ahmedabad?
I ask this since I will be mostly coming to Ahmedabad tomorrow. I know the showroom will be closed, but just thought I would inquire from you if the update has come to Ahmedabad showrooms.Blood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

This is exactly where others have faced this stalling issue. Again i say get them to set the throttle body to stock setup and re flash the ecu but this time let the bike to idle for 5 mins without revving it before u roll.Originally posted by I Ride Alone View PostThanks Ijs
It stalls in the initial 10 minutes even when there is a slight incline. It happens when I shift form 1st to 2nd gear and start opening the throttle. Also when I'm moving on 2nd gear and start opening the throttle.
Thanks brother.Originally posted by Ravishankar View PostThe stock condition with slightly bent stock brackets/ collars

I Ride Alone one more thing idle rpm should rest at 1.5k, and if there is too much variations in the idle rpm like going high or too low or getting stuck at a certain rpm then u need to get the throttle body replaced as someone has face this issue in the older map his bike's rpm has too much up down at idle and gets stuck at 2.5k , so the they changed his throttle body.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Mine goes up tp 2.5k rpm whenever the bike is moving and the clutch is pressed. But its at 1.5k rpm when the bike is stationary.Originally posted by Ijs View PostThis is exactly where others have faced this stalling issue. Is it normal or do I have to get it checked?
