Greetings to every single dominar owners here. Today I am planning to help my mamu (mom's younger brother) buy a dominar or a hornet. If you could shed some light about the issues, pros and cons, service quality and what needs to be checked before buying one from the store, that would be really helpful. Thank you.

Hornet and Dominar are two totally different bikes, in terms of performance (the capacity of the engine), cost and most importantly in terms of purpose. I would suggest - you and your mamu sit together and define the purpose of the bike - what are the rides going to be like? city use or touring? Then the rest (after sales service, mileage, pros and cons, accessories) comes automatically.

                Cheers!

Thank you for your suggestion. He will only use for daily commutes inside the city of Kolkata. That's all. He doesn't go for rides.

For this kind of usage Potential of dominar would be wasted. Buy Hornet or the Gixxer sf150.

Then look for options like Hornet, Unicorn, Gixxer, FZ, Fazer etc.
Should be pretty good for daily commutes brother.

                        Hello folks,
I have been noticing some chain sound after first servicing. I also lubricated the chain myself with a 3M chain lube. Is the sound normal, or needs attention?
P.S.: This is my first bike with open chain setting, so please excuse for the ignorance.
                        Cheers!

What type of sound, and do u hear it while wearing helmet or without helmet.
All open chains make some little amount of sound. Just make sure it is not too tight or too much slack. Refer the manual for recommend chain slack.
Also make sure that both side chain adjustment markings on swing arm are on same position.

Motul 7100 10W50 has helped control the vibrations to a good extent. I don't get annoyed anymore like before. After ECU update, it felt even smoother but by a small margin.

You got the remap done at SVC? Is there an update for ECU? I got the bike serviced on saturday itself!
