I noticed that if cold level is @min , then after 30 min run, the oil level is halfway between min and max.

I am sorry but oil does not expand for sure (incompressible medium). It's viscosity and density changes with temperature not the volume. After running the oil is spread across the engine and that is why the level is low.

Also, my 4500 kms are up but the service icon hasn't lit up in the console for 2nd service..any inputs/suggestions there?
      Thanks already
The kind of sound you are experiencing is a sign of mud and dust in the break pad. Clean the disk with a cloth and check if it's gone. If not use water to clean through the pads. It's should work. Happens all the time nothing to worry.

I am facing a niggle with my D400. The RHS mirror has gone loose from the upper joint and keeps changing its position due to vibes and wind drag! I am not sure how to fix it, do I need to take it to A.S.S. or is there some DIY way?

Hey, I had the exact same issue with my LHS mirror. Don't worry, just take it to any local bike mechanic or even your own trusted bike mechanic and they'll fix it in a jiffy. It's a 2 mins fix and doesn't require the expertise of people working at the Bajaj SVC. Don't try fixing it on your own though cause it could be slightly troublesome and you may need to try and watch a few videos and vlogs before understanding the minor complexity involved. Just 10 bucks and 2 mins at your local mechanic will do the trick 😉

Hi ulric_469, I am experiencing the exact same issue. This has been happening only off late. Earlier only my headlamp would have some moisture set in after a long ride which would clear on its own after a while. Here I believe the same thing's happening, but after the moisture dries up, it leaves a slight residue within of the dirt that always existed in between our speedo screen and its protective glass. The same happens on our headlamp as well, but since we aren't constantly staring at it, you won't notice the slight residue within.

There's honestly no point opening and getting it cleant now at the SVC as it will continue to happen till the end of the monsoons.

I'd recommend you to wait till the monsoons are done with and then visit the SVC and get it cleant from inside. If the residue does make it impossible to read the speedo display, then you could visit ASAP and ask them to clean it, but if you can manage then I would recommend to wait till the end of the monsoon onslaught to save you 2 or maybe even 3 visits at the SVC ☺️

Your most welcome Bud. The dirt was always present inside, it's become more obviously visible cause of the constant moisture build up. Visiting the SVC should solve the problem after thoroughly cleaning it but please make sure the Geniuses at the Bajaj SVC seal your speedo up nice and fine just the way it was done when it came outta the factory 😜

Honestly Bud, I myself couldn't figure out what was tightened when my local mechanic fixed the issue. But the good part was he was instantly able to diagnose the issue after one look and swing at the mirror. Your mechanic should be able to easily notice the fault too as they deal with these issues regularly.

I've ridden my bike over 500kms and adjusted the top portion of my LHS mirror multiple times and it's stem has never loosened up since my mechanic tightened the required part. Sorry for not paying attention at that point, I was more interested in asking him to check about my false neutrals issue. 😐

Take the rubber cover off from the mirror bottom, by pushing it down where it is connected to the stem. U can clearly see 3 screws there just get those tightened with the screw driver present in the tool kit and refix the rubber cover and u r done.

Get your radiator fan checked asap, it's probably non functional!

A motorcycle allows you to be a part of scenery and the environment. Preparing your motorcycle for touring is fun as well as time taking and can be expensive too, unless you own a…

May be there is an electronic limiter for new bikes. Check with service.
