Because I really don't want Bajaj to counter me with warranty and stuff. But if its really really worth it, am willing to switch. I have been sitting between 4-6k rpm mark now days and I have noticed that the 3rd gear pull at around 3k RPM has reduced. Any such observations with your dominar?
    Dude,
What can i say. The bike is temperamental. Just like me. There are days when i head out and it sounds harsh even with motul in it. But then same evening, it's a different ride on the way back home.
Oil is a topic done to death. There is a video from Motostories switching to Shell Advance ultra who will say the samething, better that the stock Total. But that guy has done more touring than i ever have
    So here is my advice.
Buy 1 litre of Motul 7100 15w50. Reuse 200 ml from what's already in the engine as you will need 1200 ml. Then listen to the difference. Either you will like it, in which case bike will ride smoother. Or you will save some money by only buying Total. Either way you will benefit. οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½

Forget oil, even cleaning and lubing chain improves the ride. So let's talk chain lube.
Vikas Rachamalla is recommending Nano protech. Bajaj is not recommending Motul, pushing for their tie up product.
As for me, i am about to try 3m chain cleaner and rust oleum ptfe based lube. Any suggestions

After reviewing multiple videos online, I decided to ask my dad about it. He has maintained a 1969 RE (literally assembled in england) for so many years. So his experience is worth every dime. He has used kerosene to clean and some locally available lube. I ordered Motul combo which was supposed to be delivered on Monday. Since Amazon isn't inclined to do a a timely delivery, am going to ask the neighbourhood for the tried and tested ghaslet and lube from local market. Its not gonna extend the life of the chain but at least will stop the dry noise.

20kmph is very low, sir. Are you sure that you checked it correctly?
Check tyre pressure and if the breaks are locking up the disk by any chance.
About the Vibes, you probably have used half the tank since last refuel. A full tank is less vibey by my observation.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

I did. The rear one to Michelin PSR. Makes a ton of diffrence, compared to revz. Am never going back to anything else, if not to metzeler. Which I have heard are even better but less durability.
How would bajaj know which oil is in the chamber, all oils starts looKing black after few hundred kms.

I too using wd40 sometime kerosene or diesel to clean the chain and a generic chain lube for years now and never faced any problems. I my opinion motul is good but it is overrated.

Thanks all. I agree, once the lube color is black, it all looks the same.
Good to know on the Michelin PSR. Ton of difference! Wow, good for you.
I was thinking the revz will be the achilles heel in the rains but they have held up nicely. Cannot imagine how much better it will be. Will go for PSR next.

WD40 is good for chain cleaning. Motul is too expensive for the purpose. The best and effective way to clean a chain is kerosene. Very cost effective. works perfect every time.
Recommended by the chain manufacturers. One of my friend works as a Design Engineer in LGB chain division which makes Rolon chains.

I selected Rolon since the Dominar's Chain is made by Rolon. you can see the R marked in the chain.

https://youtu.be/C_c_Wi1l3Fg is a link for the effective chain cleaning and lubing.

I am using the Rolon chain Lube and Kerosene combo.

              Unavailability of change and sprockets?
What is the rear sprocket size of Dominar?
If its 41T,you can get the RS200 ones, they are O-ring and cheaper the X-ring.

This must not happen so early on. Tyres do come with a warranty. Make sure you get it changed under warranty.

Even though you want to switch the tyre brand, first claim a new tyre under warranty. You can just keep it as a spare.

I am not aware if they came with warranty. These were factory fitted I guess. Is there any mention of warranty of tires from OEM anywhere. Can anyone help me on this.
Should I approach Bajaj SVC Or MRF T&S for this.

It made me go and check my tyres as well and to my dismay too, my rear tyre has a small cut/opening and I haven't even clocked 1,000-kms yet. I've been extremely careful with my Domi especially over the tarmac and craters we face and also been maintaining adequate tyre pressure on weekly intervals.

I believe the alloys cracking up and all the other related incidents have nothing to do with the build quality of the bike or its alloys and other parts but due to these terrible quality tyres provided by MRF.

I'm guessing many people don't bother maintaining the tyre pressure thinking it's a new bike with new set of wheels and tyres so it should remain the same, but I've noticed the PSI is dropping quite a bit, can definitely blame it on these cuts on our tyres that should never have appeared this early on!

I've also noticed the terrible quality of MRF tyres when it comes to cars as well and there have always been complaints regarding this, I thought they improved their quality standards with the launch of the Zapper and Revz series, guess I am wrong, again! 😐

Bajaj should be informed regarding this immediately to prevent further risk to it's riders and damage to its brand image & reputation.

I hope your cut is not that bad still we never know what is waiting for us on the road and where it will hit.I do rides mostly on highways.Extreme caution if I enter any bad patch of road. Still this happened. I mean this is not the age of tyre so that it can be torn apart just by anything on the road. With God's grace no puncture till now.But I never expected this.Any warranty on these?

This could have been a manufacturing defect that went unnoticed, insert a coin or something blunt to gauge its depth. It could have easily been something on the road too, as u said. Nthng wrong with mrf tyres as such, i found button tyres better suited to indian roads unless u only ride on perfect roads or go corner carving.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Very true. My cut isn't that bad, but its quite visible and is a point of concern. I too am trying to check if there's warranty on the tyres, but the Bajaj toll free number is sooo frustrating, it keeps you on hold for minimum 20 minutes.

Anyways, I'll try shooting them a mail and confirm the warranty part. I remember sending them a mail regarding the frequent false neutrals 2 days ago, but I haven't even received a response nor an automatic response saying a ticket has been raised for this mail.

I guess the only option is to visit the SVC, but they hardly know anything. Anyways shall check on all fronts and keep you posted. Really disappointed by this, earlier it was the pathetic TVS Eurogrip tyres on my NS, now this πŸ˜‘
