Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
The answer was in my comment, the top seepds u are talking about for other bikes are mostly speedo errors so don't trust that try checking real speeds with a tool like vBox or other. Dominar speedo meter has lesser degree of error and the revv limiter is restricted to safeguard the engine. Plus cbr is not as fast as Domi. But it feels fast due to lesser areo dynamics drag coz of the fairing.Originally posted by Christo4 View PostLol
I didn't get the answer yet. But many advices, I need someone wise to be technical in this perspective. By the way I'm not a speed freak, I wonder how the performance varies, need technical answer, no more bullshit, no offense though.
And do mind top speed is different from acceleration, and top speed cannot be achieved in streets.
By the way those who wanna cruise at lower speed, could have chosen some other bike rather than dominar. So stop bullying.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Guys let's no blow this any further out of proportion than already done so far.
Let's keep the name calling and everything else to a bare minimum. Let's forget about who started it and who had the last say.
I'm sure none of us are here to offend anyone. Our sole interest is our beauty, the Dominar & let's keep discussing just that & everything related to it!
We have a beautiful platform here and let's maintain it with the same love and dedication we maintain our Dominars with 💛
Just my 2 cents 😉

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Will changing the oil to fully synthetic precisely MOTUL 300V will reduce the rough gearing of Dominar 400.
As i was using MOTUL 300v for my r15 and gear shifting was butter smooth.
Has anyone changed his Domi's oil to MOTUL ? Any noticeable difference ?Visit my Photo Blog - www.vkclicks.com

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I am writing this from my experience and riding style, may be not the same for you but worth a try. Try 1-2, 2-3 do short shifts. From there rev a little hard and shift. For my D4 this works. Shifts are done in just a press on the gear lever. I don't know how to justify that technically, but it works for meOriginally posted by vkclick View PostWill changing the oil to fully synthetic precisely MOTUL 300V will reduce the rough gearing of Dominar 400.

Bajaj is already using full synthetic oil which is made by total.Originally posted by vkclick View PostWill changing the oil to fully synthetic precisely MOTUL 300V will reduce the rough gearing of Dominar 400.

And here we have few guys in our whatsapp grp those who've changed to motul but didn't felt any difference
And yes shifting at higher rpm is recommended .

Now there is big confusion again for the type of chain used in Dominar o ring or x ring. In the manual the chain maintenance section is about o ring chain but on the Bajaj global site the specs are mentioned as x ring chain.

Its X ring bro.. O ring is given in the manual for easier understanding since everyone is familiar with o rings.Originally posted by Ijs View PostNow there is big confusion again for the type of chain used in Dominar o ring or x ring. I used it and am liking it but it feels just like 7100 after a week but still better than total.Originally posted by joseraja1117 View PostCan I use motul 300v for Domi.
Foue me motul 7100 and 300v have both been good choices for a smoother engine as well as shifts.Originally posted by vkclick View PostWill changing the oil to fully synthetic precisely MOTUL 300V will reduce the rough gearing of Dominar 400.

Try the following in order, it worked for me
1. Clutch cable adjustment till the first gear thud is softer.
2. Got a rubber glove for the gear. Trust me, it feels better.
3. Change gears around 4000 rpm, find that sweet spot.
3. Delay upshifts in the first 5 min. Gears change better with a warmed up engine.
5. Switch to Motul
6. Don't upshift just to save on gas. Stay in a lower gear in traffic
It will get better you put on the miles till it dies not bother you.
Has anyone changed tyres?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi peeps,
This is my first post here but I've been lurking around for quite some time now. I recently bought a new Dominar. It's about a week old and has done ~440 km until now. Today when I took the bike out for a spin, I could feel it getting very vibey compared to the previous rides. Is this normal, and i can get it resolved in the first service or should i go to the service center immediately? I've been keeping the bike under 60kmph/4k rpm and been getting mileage of ~20 kmpl

I know you have posted the oil change Post recently here but would you mind sharing it again. I'll be changing oil every 4-5k kms and need your honest opinion. Has it really made a big difference after switching to Motul?
Because I really don't want Bajaj to counter me with warranty and stuff. But if its really really worth it, am willing to switch. I have been sitting between 4-6k rpm mark now days and I have noticed that the 3rd gear pull at around 3k RPM has reduced. Any such observations with your dominar?

20kmph is very low, sir. Are you sure that you checked it correctly?Originally posted by abominable_bride View PostHi peeps,

Check tyre pressure and if the breaks are locking up the disk by any chance.
About the Vibes, you probably have used half the tank since last refuel. A full tank is less vibey by my observation.

I did. The rear one to Michelin PSR. Makes a ton of diffrence, compared to revz. Am never going back to anything else, if not to metzeler. Which I have heard are even better but less durability.Originally posted by deepDmnrHas anyone changed tyres?
