After second service @ 5100 with oil change, engine felt rough. Not as smooth as on Motul 7100. changed oil to Motul 300v 15w-50 and its a good difference. Engine sounds so much smoother. Oil is worth the money. Will report back after 1 month

At what kms did you change to 300v. How much was 7100 run? I felt 7100 little better than the stock when I did at 7900kms, not a vast difference but can feel the temperature going down but results after almost 100-200kms. I've been told 300v is thin, causes leakage from the cylinder head? Waiting for your update.

I had switched to 7100 right after first service. So 4500 kms and no complaints. Thought i would try 300v this time. So far so good.

I guess there will be drop in mileage. Let's see.
Good to kNow , i too got the new map yesterday and there is big difference in, in gear acceleration and pickup , 2nd gear also felt bit taller. Though me and one other friend did face engine stalling issue post update mine stalled for 5 times in lower gears and his aroumd 20 times, I guess the service guy didn't idle it properly but on the next ride after few hours the bike is all fine.
I also felt that engine breaking is bit more than before in 3rd and 4th gear which is a good thing.
Also earlier the rpm limiter cuts in at 8.5k and it goes to max 9k and back to 8.5k but post the new update the limiter light glows at 9k and iy can go till 9.5k and stay at 9k, so it means rev limit is increased by 500rpm. I tested this few times to confirm.
Now 5th gear is like new 6th.

Is this normal with every bajaj showroom or was it specific to this one only.

Quick question for you. Did they leave your bike running in ideal for some time? If yes, for how long?

in general they would ask you take a test ride.. during this test ride there is a possibility that you bike may stall few times, but later everything will set and you will feel the difference.
Now after the remap was done on my bike it didn't stall or anything but on many other bikes (friends) the bike did stalls multiple times but after a few km it didnt stall and its was perfect feel

My First Free Service Experience of Dominar 400. Till Now I have covered around 800Kms

                      Problem Faced Before Service:

                      Hard Gear Shifts
Heat only from Left Side (Very Strange)
                      Hard Clutch
Coolant level was near to minimum

After service, gear shifts have become smoother, I think due to Oil Change
Clutch setting is done, so now its become smoother .
Coolant top up is done, so heat is now bearable but it is still on left side

Very good experience at Kanchan Bajaj Service Center, Thanks to Mahesh (Manager) who allowed me to shoot the video inside service station.
Special Thanks to Shinde Sir who personally attended my Dominar 400

No they just revved the engine to check if things are Ohk and then the service manager took it for a test ride. Not even once the engine stalled for me. The whole process was done in abt 20 mins.

Actually I didn't check the Rev limiter myself but I asked the manager if it had changed and he said no. Will check it the first thing tmrw and update.

When ever I ride in ghat roads/heavy gear shifting rides my left hand aches like hell due to clutch pull. Feel the lever is too far away for me. Anyone facing such issues.? Which adjustable levers are supported?

Yes do check the revv limiter and update us as here we checked on 3 bikes all have this 500rpm increase.
And yes u can fit adjustable levers explore ur local market , seen pics of kawasaki levers in our whatsapp group today, didn't remember his xbhp id but i think it is rubber stamp champ. U can try adjusting the lever play take ur bikes key's thickness to measure the play.

I suggest you adjust your lever tilt. I have long hands and the clutch pull was hard initially. With correct clutch play and slightly lowered down lever, my hand feel more at ease. It's more natural and easy to operate. Also, the adjustable levers are universal fitment across the range. So any of those should work for you.
