Guys like you don't own one or doesn't try to understand facts, simply goes on doubting and call the bike unreliable!

People are even doing some offroading with dominar, still hasn't faced any issues!

Same with the RS200, there was no alloy breaking issue on the bike and people went on blaming bajaj.
Stupid people aren't matured enough to understand the fact that, RS uses same alloys from NS, which didn't had any issues.
People who hate bajaj are simply [emoji5] [emoji5] [emoji5] [emoji4] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji12] when they hear if something is wrong with a bajaj may be just on a single piece and can be a false info too.
    Mods, sorry for OT!

I agree with your statement Harrison but in all fairness everything has its breaking point and to be completely honest we have no clue with what amounts of high intensity did this particular Dominar hit the ground for it to destroy the suspension system.

Monoshock suspension systems are extremely rugged and meant for off-roading and can withstand great amounts of wear over many years as you may well be knowing too. And this seems to be only a 1-off incident of a Dominar's suspension failing completely.

We ourselves don't know the precise facts of this incident and no one can genuinely shed some light on it either; except maybe for the guy who was riding it and maybe the onlookers at that moment. I honestly think the Dominar is a well built product and it is quite solid as you may have noticed in the collision that happened sometime back with the bus ( http://www.**********.com/two-wheele...ct-022368.html ).

I personally think, if you treat your Domi right and take good care of her, she'll do the same in return. This is a powerful bike and as they say, with great power comes great responsibility. I'm sure all of us here are mature riders and we wouldn't ever ill treat our rides. ☺️

Forget alloys bro, the suspension broke. Indian roads can dessipate the most sort out bikes as well. But can you imagine the kind of pressure it would require?
The same suspension is carrying a load of more than 200kg for a few of us.

Some of my acquaintences have confirmed that the guy tried a stoppie and slammed the ground from a pretty steep angle. But then again, I still can't imagine such disaster. Knowing some of the cheaper bike are used to do even bigger stunts.

Come on guys leave that topic aside and enjoy your ride, no one knows exactly what happened, I would blame a famous automedia portal who posted some wrong info without even verifying the news.

Xearoum, I wouldn't blame the Dominar at all, given the sheer weight of the bike, it could destroy even the boldest of suspension systems. Take for instance the same stunt being replicated on a Royal Enfield 350 or 500. I mean even thats a pretty strong and solid bike, but I'm sure it sheer weight would destroy quite a few of its components, maybe including the suspension as well 😜

+1 to that. Its a global product and is capable of running more than a lakh kilometres.

Hi [MENTION=92507]D4004[/MENTION], first of all. Let me assure you that I am In complete confidence that dominar is a very sturdy bike. It will not fail under normal or slight off-road usage. But you must think about it from this prospective. The suspension doesn't carry a lot of bikes weight. But only rider and luggage. Everything falls onto the tyres. For suspension to break, your tyres must shatter. It can collapse with prolonged abuse but tyre must break, before suspension breaks. Am not here to say that his dominar was faulty. I am only wondering what he must have done to end up with something like this.

This might question the quality of Dominar's alloy wheels

A Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS owner has revealed that the rear alloy of his bike broke when he was riding on a smooth tarmac. Bajaj is investigating.

                    i too felt it .. during long rides ....i am 5 ' 10
i think it is because of the not so smooth upshifts of dominar

It's nothing to do with gear Box. This feeling is when cruising.

Lower the shift lever position and wear hard boots. Easiest solution.

Completely agree with you. Even I am completely awestruck as to what caused this major catastrophe in the 1st place 🤔

Wow another broken alloy, now the article seems to suggest that the rider fell because of the part of alloy breaking and coming off, but how would the riders know, you cant see your tyres while riding, its completely possible the alloy broke due to impact of the crash. They were on a bend and bikes slipping on bends is not uncommon. Either way not good for bajaj's image.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

I'm actually petrified to be taking anyone pillion with me after reading the article. I think I'll stick to my Activa or Car if I'm not going to be riding solo. There's absolutely no excuse for the alloy breaking apart like this. Even if the appropriate tyre pressure isn't maintained this should never have happened, especially not after just 1,300 odd kilometers of usage. Bajaj has to do something about this incident. I'm quite certain the riders in this article are speaking the truth, but I highly doubt anyone would stick to just 50Kmph on an 8 lane expressway (4 lanes on each side of the divider). I'm sure they were doing upwards of 80Kmph. Even then no excuse for this pathetic sign of alloy quality standards. Disappointed 😐
