Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
heyy can you recommend one for the mudguard and the black part?Originally posted by Ijs View Post+1 to this i have done this on all my previous rides as well without any issues.
Use f1 wax on pain and for black part and mudgaurd use dash board polish or silicon one.
also, so im guessing i can use the F1 on all the painted parts on the dominar? the tank n stuff..

Waxpol protectol for the more economical option or formula 1 protectant dash polish .Originally posted by Manu Abraham View Postheyy can you recommend one for the mudguard and the black part?

I have ordered waxpol one but somehow it didn't arrive so i would be buying either one from loacal market tomorrow. Do not use wax polish on black parts(though u can use wax on the front mud gaurd as it is shiny one).
Guys bajaj has started the official FB page here in Delhi NCR and they might be having their first ride this sunday. Below is the link for the page started by Amar srivastava of bajaj on behalf of Bajaj.
Interested parties can join it.

Maybe for male its hurting more for obvious reasons. What could be solutions for this behaviour.Originally posted by Ijs View PostI have doen highway plus city rides with wife as pillion and never once she complained also rode with a friend in city he is also ok. True dat. Almost 2 months now and i feel the suspension softening up a bit. Not so hard as before. Also having right tyre pressure also helps.Originally posted by Ijs View PostI have doen highway plus city rides with wife as pillion and never once she complained also rode with a friend in city he is also ok. Thanks. I am considering between this and fz25 in few months time. Plus pillion comfort is of huge importance to me as my wife will be accompanying me on most of the rides.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostAdjust the rear suspension

Pillion comfort will be way better on Dominar, and when you have a Pillion, rider will get more comfort on Dominar because bigger engine more power more torque, less drop in performance with Pillion, i.e effortless cruising.Originally posted by atulmnh View PostThanks. I have male pillion a few times and for longer duration too but no one complains. It is just u have to be slow while going over bad roads.Originally posted by atulmnh View PostMaybe for male its hurting more for obvious reasons. What could be solutions for this behaviour.
This is good news for every one as the suspension is set at the stiffest setting by default.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostTrue dat. Almost 2 months now and i feel the suspension softening up a bit. Not so hard as before. Also having right tyre pressure also helps.
Dominar has a better pillion seat and a better shocks too . The seat is even better than the plusher Mojo. Fz 25 use more upward seat angle and same suspension front and back as the fz15. When my wife had a look at fz25 she said that the seat looks uncomfortable and small in comparison to d400. I considered d390 and mojo also but d400 has the best pillion comfort from the lot. The seat is wider and longer than rest.Originally posted by atulmnh View PostThanks. I am considering between this and fz25 in few months time. True that bikes feel more planted with apillion on board which is not the case with most bikes. Also there is no lag in performance due to extra weight of pillion.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostPillion comfort will be way better on Dominar, and when you have a Pillion, rider will get more comfort on Dominar because bigger engine more power more torque, less drop in performance with Pillion, i.e effortless cruising.
As i am only 60kg i always felt the extra pressure that the pillion provide on suspension results in more planted feel.
This is one of the rarest bike which doesn't get uncomfortable with pillion.
Just needs to be cautious at bad roads due to stiff suspension.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I have changed the suspension to the lowest(Softer) setting. I am 67KG and now I feel that this setting is right for me. With Pillion it is little more softer, when you have a long bump the bike swings up and down with pillion driver and at above 80kmph.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostIt would help if anyone had deciphered the aligned green dots on the mono shock. The SC gut told me that default is softest which is when the green dots alliign. Anyone know any different?

Ok, so clockwise rotation of the nut is softest?Originally posted by benz View PostI have changed the suspension to the lowest(Softer) setting.
