    2. FYI this is not a commuter like splendor or tvs sport to ride below 3k rpm. It cleanly pulls from around 57kmph @ 3500rpm without any knocking which is already great. You should try riding a duke 390.
    Thanks for the reply..
    1. Will check the handle bar..
    2. Keeping the bike under 4k rpm limit and keeping it above 3k rpm on every gear at every speed is tough..

What run-in speeds/rpm limits do you follow?

That question can lead to a lotta argument. I personally don't ride looking at the rpm. I didn't go beyond 100kmph so far, she had clocked 1050kms. 100kmph comes at just above 5500rpm. Running in done in city is good, as you do a lotta gear changes and rpm varies. But in highways you should not constantly stick to a certain speed while running in. while in highway I ride at @80 for 5 mins then @90 for 5 mins then @100 for 5 mins then again get back wards. In the mean time I try and downshift when ever I encounter traffic, road undulations. If you can do that you can quickly get past the run in period with ease. It's just my way of doing it.
      Ride Safe!

As we know that the tank on the Dominar 400 is a plastic tank and not a metal one , so can we wax it , I don't know if we can wax a plastic tank ?

the dominar probably has a separate inner plastic tank and an external fiber/plastic cover (much like the prev gen duke, the fz etc..) which is what one sees from the outside.
You can wax the outside painted surface using a regular wax but do not use this wax on matte finishes and unpainted plastics (use specific products made for such plastics)

Any one did long rides?? 500+
                  How is the ride quality?

How is the ride for cruising? What the best cruise speed?

Today went to book my ride, but there was only one stock of Blue.
and next lot comes by end of this week. so planning to go by then and pick a ride.

What are the things to check before choosing the ride?

Hi guys did my first service at executive Bajaj today Now about ecu update
Service manager connected a service tool(diagnostic tool) to bikes ecu.It showed company name ie. Bosch.
It also showed RE 500 and other company names means it is common for other vehicles. Then he scrolled down to dominar400 which is last and pressed enter. The ignition was on and he was monitoring data. Then he noted down the ecu code number. There was a message 'connect USB cable to computer'.He left the service tool connected to the ecu and entered the code in computer. It is here that he learns of any update. So whether its Jan model or Feb it is the code which decides the software which is provided by manufacturer, now and in future services.

Yup, Bangalore - Gokarna , total 1100 (up and down).

                      Ride quality - Excellent
Cross wind effect - bare minimum
                      Rider comfort - Excellent
                      Pillion Comfort - Horrendous

Its a treat to ride this on a long route down a highway, you can switch pace easily, 80,90,100,120.. everything goes.

Use f1 wax on pain and for black part and mudgaurd use dash board polish or silicon one.

The seat is rock hard, and it hurts, i mean hurts like hell over a long ride, its basically pushing up hard on your bum. if you are tall then its even worse.
