My doubt is proven wrong didn't get any drop in fe with the new updated ecu.Calculated city only Mileage today , done 185kms in 6.87ltrs exact fuel, means a fe of 26.90ltrs, this is with heavy throttle input and with new ecu map only.
Was getting 26.60ltrs in city on older map with moderate throttle input.

hi guys I'm arif khan from chennai.....Really i'm glad to be a part of this community

Finally i got the D400 in my hands on 10 june,i was amazed and so excited because this my first 400cc bike
I have some issues as follows
      1. the gear shifting is hard
2.the RPM raises to 2.5k when i pull the clutch to down shift
3.the rubber pad in the tank is peeling in the corners
      4. and the milage is
      26kmpl
rather than this there is no vibrations and hiccups...
i rode 300kms in 3 days....guys please tell me what speed i have to maintain during runin period to get MAX milage

      Thank u

Why do you expect more mileage from a sports bike?
Get any 100cc bike for that purpose.

Anyway for getting best mileage out of 370cc engine be very gentle on throttle.
Try to keep speed of around 90 kmhr on 6th gear. This way you can manage around 30kmpl on an average which is best for any such powerful bike.

          First of all congrats.
Gear shift will get better with usage but first gear thud would always remain.
The rpm thing is also ok as the slipper clutch modulates the rpm to reduce engine breaking , u can consult ur svc for same.
For tank pad peeling off get the new one under warranty or they would fix this one.
If u dont know how to properly runnin the engien , rely on the info provide in the manual. Or keep ur rpm around 4.5k max and on highway u can touch 5k but always be gradual with throttle do not ripp.

90kmph on 6th gear on highway gave me 36kmpl max. And at 120kmph i got 32kmpl.
In city riding softly would stretch the mileage by 2kms max like 28kmpl. 26 kmpl in city is good mileage for Big bike.

              Hi
My Heracles(D400) engine oil color after 2600 in ODO has turned a bit redish in color.Attached a snap for reference. Is it Normal? It used to be clear liquid during its early days.I had done the first free service at 750 in ODO.Whether it's a matter of concern or it just fine and should go for oil change in the next service. Some suggestions on oil asweel.I mostly do (70:30)Highway/City rides.

              THANKS

It is normal for the oil to change its color. It isn't a cause of a concern. After the engine has cooled down, check for the oil level. 😇

With 100% city use and enjoying the bike's power too on the new ECU map, I'm getting an FE of 28 kmpl...However, I'm yet to test the FE on highway as no rides yet..

I face the same issue with Bruce but the problem is during cold start the oil is always at the minimum level. And even after warming up the engine the oil level does not rise up much. This bothers me like anything 😠

Hey man , the oil level should acctually decrease and then later stabilize while you warm up is the right process. This really isn't a right way to do it, thats why companies use dipsticks but yea whatever , while you service just make sure he use the right oil and drops the most of it inside the chamber.

Never faced that rattle brother, but u can open the tank cover and second display and clean every thing and fix double sided tape on bottom or place some rubber on the under side and fix everything back.

                            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

There can also be some lose connectors or wires under the tank cover causing it tie them with tie clips.

Thinking of getting it fixed once I go for the 2nd service soon..M already at 4000 km so the second service should come up in a couple of weeks..
As it is, m thinking of getting it done at Bagga Link instead of my SVC (Fairdeal)..the mechanic there does a lot of "chal jaayega sir" style work instead of really looking into the issues whereas I didn't get that feeling at Bagga Link..Fairdeal guy actually topped up the engine oil using P220's oil which I didn't like at all..N on top of that, he didn't even take my permission before doing so..so that turned me totally against the SVC n the mechanic's attitude..
