Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I was noticing low pressure for weeks and finally asked a local mechanic to look into it. He confirmed that it is coming from the rim.. he asked me to take it to the service center to check on any known issues/warranty/insurance.. which I hate but had no choice.Originally posted by harry032701 View PostFor sure sir, if i see it increasing i will do that..
As usual, they kept my bike again for the entire day and said that the rim is bent. It is not even noticeable but enough to disturb the tyre pressure. After a days work, he said the leak is fixed.
Blaming it back on me, he says that I must have ridden it on pothole with low air pressure. Obviously i gave him a piece of my mind. Which included me being super cautious with this being a Bajaj bike, have given more trouble in 3 months then my 6 year old unicorn and that your service is pathetic. Anyway.. came back and rechecked the leak. Guess what guys. They fixed nothing!
When i called them back, service center manager said that we cannot do anything about it now. He said I'll put it for the approval on Monday and let me know the deal.
With that being said.. let me give you some facts. I have been extremely cautious. have not even crossed 65kmph. Not because i dont want to.. but dominar for me is extremely vibey. I mostly ride solo and have never hit a pothole big enough to scare a scooty. So yes, rim bending issue is very real and this monsoon should prove that nationally.
I dont mind repairing it under insurance too but that will just happen again. I'll just have to put some extra pressure and continue to do it twice a week. Till the time they accept the issue and fix it.
My only mistake is I made a rushed decision.

Thats very sad to hear hope you get a viable solution for the issue.Originally posted by xearoum View PostI was noticing low pressure for weeks and finally asked a local mechanic to look into it. Anybody know where to get a good and cheap paddock stand? lubing the chain is one heck of job when you are alone.

Got from Amazon. G A auto @ 2500. Try calling directly Gaurav on +91 7021 590 733. Check if you want the spool support or frame support. Hth.Originally posted by ROHAN SPEEDOFREAK SHARMA View PostThats very sad to hear hope you get a viable solution for the issue.

Update on the abs issue. The light turns on after riding some distance. I informed this to SC. Needless to say they flashed ecu to latest as a preemptive first step. Went for a trial and told me all is good.
Well... Not quite. Got back there tomorrow.
Only plus point, they did not make me wait and i quite like the new update. Gear changes are smoother bike is a little zippier in lower gears.
On the downside, bike stalled a number of times. Hopefully that issue resolves itself.

If chain cleaning is all you intend to do, You can use a wooden block or a stool that lifts up the frame from the left side. Or get moto jack 1400 or roller wheels 1500. These you can carry on trips as well.
Lots of options bro.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
The tech checked and noted that the disk with slits which the abs magnetic sensor reads from was slightly dented in the rear tyre. Very likely by an incorrectly placed paddock stand. My bad. One that small warped / dented section was pushed out, all good so far.
I have heard a lot of gripes about the sc. But kodos to them, they attend to Dominar customers right away, even on a busy day.

Which service center is this? I can use some good hands to sort my bike.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostThe tech checked and noted that the disk with slits which the abs magnetic sensor reads from was slightly dented in the rear tyre.
