I seriously doubt some other problem. If it's the piston problem the mileage would be less. But not in this case. I will also email and see what they say.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
After topping up and keeping the bike straight the oil is at max level. Same after 200km drive at the same straight level it goes to min both in cold and hot conditions.Originally posted by smshingare View Post

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Let me share my experience. Once I checked in the morning, I couldn't see any oil through the hole. Obviously concerned, I went to the service station and asked them if they forgot to top up the oil. To my surprise, they checked and showed me that the oil is there. He said the the oil takes a while to come back to the bottom. If not ridden for long, it may not show up at all. I know this doesn't add up with what's written in the manual but the service tech is experienced and the engine compartments are the same throughout (within our outside bajaj). I agreed and came back home. However, before the first service, the collant level did drop drastically and had to top it up (they did it). My suggestion is not to buy the oil yourself. As far as the bike is under warranty, please let Bajaj do the needful.Originally posted by benz View PostAfter topping up and keeping the bike straight the oil is at max level. Idle for 1min in the morning before putting it in gear and see if the problem persist or not. As a warmed up engine always behave better.Originally posted by omkappoor999 View Postwhen i start my bike in morning
and put it in 1st gear
it suddenly jerks
and then everything works well
and this problem does not occur
after morning start
Same thing i noted if i wait for 5 mins after a ride a check the window fills up other wise it shows less oil even on a warm engine.Originally posted by xearoum View PostLet me share my experience. Tomorrow morning, look at the oil window, start the engine, give some throttle you can see the oil falling behind the window.Originally posted by Ijs View PostIdle for 1min in the morning before putting it in gear and see if the problem persist or not. As a warmed up engine always behave better.

This is because, on cold start, domimar stays at higher RPM than usual. It comes back down after a minute. Due to higher rpm, the first gear makes a louder noise and jerk also.Originally posted by omkappoor999 View Postwhen i start my bike in morning

This is an expected behaviour and has been observed by many. Probably is a known issue as well.Originally posted by omkappoor999 View Postwhen i start my bike in morning

Hello, word of caution. Using a different oil may void the warranty too. The one used for Dominar is good quality.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostIf any of you guys ride more in city traffic use Bajaj oil.
RS200 heats less with Bajaj oil in traffic, Motul 7100 is amazing for highway and higher revs, but in traffic whole bike heats up,it will be same with Dominar.
Cheers.

When you try to educate the ignorant self proclaimed authority....This is what happens...The world is a better place if you leave them be, for God knows what black magic his ignorance can spin into the New Finding..Originally posted by benz View PostThis guy blocked me in their FB page when I posted about the ECU location and shown the video of ECU and OBD connectivity.
Now he posts that he could find a ECU. Really funny guyWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Bajaj was kind enough to reply back. Thanks to the owners from helping out, I am now recommending this bike to my cousins.

Kiirus should be blamed heavily, how can they post such thing carelessly and blatantly supporting it. It shows how well they are doing their R&D.Originally posted by leech View PostI spoke to Kiirus too. Serious goof up on their part.

Bajaj has every right to sue them in defamation case. No manufacture can claim false things like these.

If KIIRUS had a tough time to even find the ECU, it says more about their capabilities. Good luck to anyone who thinks of getting their bikes tuned by them.Originally posted by benz View PostThis guy blocked me in their FB page when I posted about the ECU location and shown the video of ECU and OBD connectivity.

If you are referring to the 'Clunk' sound when engaging the first gear, it is a characteristic of higher CC engines.
Atleast this is what I heard from the service engineer and from various sites.
Cheers.
