Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I have driven 3hrs continuesly and never did my wrist pained. Set the lever angle so that you do not have to bend your wrist. Someone posted a picture of the angle of wrist with respect to the lever.Originally posted by Lalzova View Post

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I initially had discomfort in wrists. But you need avoid putting your body weight on your wrist. Instead, try to use your core to balance your body and relax your arms.Originally posted by Lalzova View PostHi Bros, I get sore wrist if I ride in traffic (for about 30 minutes) with constant clutching and gear shifting, can it be because of wide handle bars which is not very raised ? Anyone observed the same ...
Also, try to move the levers down to be inline with your arm. Factory settings make the wrist fold back by a small angle.
Cheers.

Here is the pic. The lever adjustment also improves the mirror visibility.

Yes Bro, because of this confusion many think (including me) that oil is disappearing. In cold I feel the viscosity is very high and does not show up when we tilt the bike in straight position.Originally posted by Lalzova View PostHi Bros, This morning I checked the oil level at cold and found oil level below minimum, later after idling for 3 minutes, the oil level is above maximum, is it normal ?
It's absolutely normal.

Very strange that oil is leaking from that plug. Get it repaired from Service center only.Originally posted by manu777 View PostMates, my dominar did 800 kms. First service is done. A few 100 kms after riding, I noticed slight oil leak nearby crankcase seal. On detailed checking I found oil comes from something like an opening which is plugged. After that I rode for almost 50 kms, but it's not leaking. I didn't took my bike to service centre till now. I just want to know is that plug type thing is some sort of overflow arrangement. Planning to take bike to showroom. If anybody have some idea about it or having same problem pls share.

If you observe oil leaking from these plugs, them those core plugs need to re be replaced. It's a tricky job to do that, and I am highly skeptical if they do that. If they do, then it's better. But in case you have leaky core plug, unless the SVC is competent enough to do a good job of replacing it, I'd suggest you to replace the clutch cover on a proactive basis.Originally posted by benz View PostVery strange that oil is leaking from that plug. Commenting from a CBR and NS 200 perspective, the Dominar has very good beefy suspension and the ride posture is very relaxed when compared to both CBR and NS 200 with CBR being a wee bit more focused. It's a perfect blend of sport and tourer, riding position, the CBR 250. NS is the most refined of Bajaj's lot, stress free engine, can munch miles after miles with no fuss and seating position is a little tall and more or less share the pulsar 220 seating position with very very slight lean -- not that much traceable. Though I'd suggest you to ride both the bikes to check your height, some people do have issues with the NS 200 being a little bit tall.Originally posted by viki sah View PostHi to all Domi owners here.. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END
benz,You are correct about fuel guage,
Last week I went for a ~1500km ride, I filled petrol every 200km as I cannot trust the fuel guage.
But in the long run the fuel guage was working, can see 1 bar drop every 50~70 km.
Every 200 km, I filled for Rs 450 to 530, so average of Rs500 per 200km.
Its like top 3~4 bars for 500Rs petrol.
It was 2000 on odo when I started the ride.
On highways kept a speed on 120KMPH
.
And after that it was at ~3500
Some photos of the trip here,
First day I rode trivandrum to bangalore about 750Km. Its definitely a power cruiser as it says
I think we can do 1000 non stop or even 1500KM saddle sore easily
, if the traffic is favourable.
Hi,
Nice shots. I too had a ride last week from Bangalore to Kochi. Which route you took? In the video I can only see the odometer. Isn't that a helmet camera that you took the video?

Bajaj Dominar 400 sales down to 2,000 units in April 2017
A 300cc version of dominar would offer better mileage.. But wheelie wont be easy. Dominar 400cc is much more powerful than RE bullet 500

Thanks for your quick response. I don't have any problem with seat height. I mean to ask how much it is comfortable for long rides? How is suspension setup for Village roads (bumpy roads)? How is seating for rider and pillion (soft or hard)?A heAd tHat swEats Is beTter tHan oNe bLeEds.
