    Abs
    Comfort
    Power
All tick but miliege seems to be around 20 which seems quite low.
Rather get a second hand CBR 250r abs and have all the above with quality.
    Someone guide me please
    My worst mileage is 26kMpl.
Usually get 28kmpl in city and 36kMpl on highway.
When compared to cbr dominar's seating position is more upright than cbr, so it is more comfortable on long rides.
Many cbr owners have change their clipons with normal bar for the same reason.

For the rest of gears, try to rev match.
Rev matching only works while downshifting and on slipper clutch equipped bike there is no need to blip the throttle to match the revs. And upshifting at 4k rpm help in dominar it makes up shifts more smooth IMO.

On an average, I get around 33 knpl on RS200 although max can go as high as 38 kmpl if driven in splendor mode.
On RS i get north of 44 in splendor mode, gentle on throttle.

These are good numbers for RS 200. I wonder who has gotten max on the dominar till date? I've read 38 kmpl somewhere.. not sure which forum. That was highway only riding

          Time for break in

Any suggestions how to do it properly

As per owners manual.. It says 1st gear 27kmph.. But I don't think that's possible coz of vibration over tank and this isn't the proper method I guess

            Recommended speed chart per manual.

My idle rpm is 2000 when I try to engage first gear a loud 'tuck' sound comes. Even when in high gears the shifting is a pain , lot of sound comes and I feel like the gears will break. Please advice
My 2 cents. Always idle till rpm holds steady at 1500 rpm. Don't do high rev for first 5 min of riding.
But the best way to avoid the first gear knock is to shut down bike. Put in first gear, depress clutch and then start.

That could also be clutch plates sticking, not disengaging when you pull the clutch lever in, that's why on bikes with kicks people press the clutch in neutral and kick it once or twice to release the plates. A thud is also noticeable on the gixxer 155 under hard acceleration which is normal. But if u put ur bike in 1st gear at days first start and if the bike moves forward initially despite clutch being held in its definitely sticky plates.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

No plates sticking in my case. This is just a hack to avoid the knock during traffic stops. Instead of staying when bike is in neutral, i put in first gear and then start. Also bike does not move for me when in neutral but when on paddock stand, the wheels turn even in neutral.

Due to the constant mesh gear box design, the wheel turn when there is no load even in neutral. This is due to friction on the gearbox shafts. It is very normal.

Had been to bajaj showroom to take a quote on the Dominar. the only thing keeping me away is he LED headlight. What I wanted to know was if an any one of the LED modules failed then will I have to replace the complete headlight assembly? The Lady at the reception called in the Dominar specialist who confirmed that LED headlight is not covered warranty and if any module failed then the whole headlight assembly will have to be replaced which will cost around 8k.
I got an estimate of 176933 on road HYD , the showroom I went is in kondapur Hyd. She also said I can select my own bike and waiting time is 2 days for white and rest is available on spot. I want to buy the blue Dominar but the cost of headlight is keeping me worried.

                      Dominar ABS
                      Ex showroom 154573
                      Insurance 4680
                      Life tax +TR - 14680
Handling Charges - 1000 (I declined paying it, they said ok)
Permanent Registration - 2000 (is it ok ok or they are charging more?)
On road - the handling charges - 175933

For Non ABS on road price is 160090 (no handling fee added)

1.75 is very good price but again headlight cost is keeping me at bay.

Very rare that the LEDs fail unless they are cheap quality. We have so many Dominar in this group and none said their headlight failed. Again, it's pure luck. If it runs will go for long.

Hello WDM2, I suggest you drop a mail to bajaj and get it confirmed. It is unlikely that one LED replacement will cost you 8k. Still better be on a safer side. However, LED generally have longer life span, compared to regular filaments. There was this one time when the bulb blew up in my Gusto. They replaced the entire head unit because of a known issue(all under warranty). On the other hand, here in Pune, bike costs 1.78lkhs on road. Which is supposed to be cheaper compared to Hyderabad. I hope you going through an authorized channel. Because the price can never be less than Pune, By my experience.

Nothing is impossible. If you know the type of LED used, you can replace it by opening the headlight casing. That will need some expertise and patience.

Cant do that , it will void the warranty on electrical system.
