I am not taking you wrong. What I suggest is before believing in what others say blindly, please read and understand the technologies that new bikes have.

I seriously need to do that , what i knew was Fi and Ecu they go hand in hand , but I had no idea about it , working without a processor i.e fi with cdi. leech enlightened me on that and sure I'm taking your suggestion seriously and reading , on that note half knowledge is lethal

I will show you where ECU is seated in Dominar and also the ECU reading on mobile using Torque App. Also, for your knowledge, Dominar engine is a modified version of KTM 390. The piston head is changed to accommodate 3 spark plug. Rest of the engine is 90% same. ECU in KTM 390 is having more features and is from Bosch. KTM has more sensors than Dominar.

If you need more details of ECUs please message me. I can explain how it works.

Well, boss, to my surprise, I found that CDI units can also be restricted and de-restricted.

There is a guide on the web that details information on how to find out if your CDI scooter is derestricted or not. The guide further states that of you have a restricted CDI if your rpm doesn't go above a certain limit, like 8000 rpm.

The CDI can also be remapped just like an ECU, according to Google.
benz - Please let me know which company makes the ECU for Dominar. I'm unable to get that info. A video of the ECU unit in your Dominar would be very helpful. Thanks.

Now I am confused on what you want to express.

Are you saying Dominar does not have a ECU and instead has a CDI?

Please explain in detail.

You are right cdi unit can be remapped but it control only spark firing whereas ecu recieves input from various sensors like atmospheric pressure, crank position, oxygen sensor etc etc and adjust air fuel mixture accordingly along with cdi.

This controversy is really stupid btw!
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

As I stated before, I'm not stating anything here. I'm in the process of finding out if the Dominar has an ECU unit or a carb CDI unit.

If you are party to any information with detailed technical attributes, I would love to know. Please put up a picture/video of the Dominar ECU, if you can.

I hate/love all motorcycles equally. If you have read the CBR thread, you'll know that I've kicked my bike to the ground once for a silly issue.

Would a Honda fan do that to his bike?
