Hey Guys, I Just purchased a dominar matt black last week. I cannot be happier with the decision to buy a dominar. I have read all the posts on this thread and it helped me make my decision. I was aware of all the issues the forum members faced.. Because I purchased the matte black im sure my bike is from the latest lot. Im glad all the issues have been sorted out with this lot. The bike had a few Vibrations but it reduced after 300 kms and after the first service the Vibrations completely disappeared and the bike feels super refined and just going to get smoother as i clock more km. The throttle response is crisp aswell. However I have Noticed something strange. My rev limit light comes on at 5.5k but revs further. Im kinda worried, isnt the light supposed to blink at 8.5 k. The service guys told me that bajaj has done this on purpose. Doesnt 5.5k seem less for a 400cc bike? They reved another new bike and showed me the same rev limit light.Would like to know if new buyers have noticed the same? Couldnt find anything on the internet about this issue.I would like an explanation from the same. Thanks guys

Just got a matt one. I asked the same question to Bajaj guys. They said the rev light blinks close to 5.5k and glows constant past 8.5k.

Could be a new safety features to stop owners from over revving the new engine it would go away after few kms or at 1st service. We never had this in our bike. Mine is first lot bike and limiter is 8.5k and cuts at 9k.
Don't worry much this was the way with the duke 390.

Yeah me too. Guess they wanted to implement "safe riding" I will be meeting them again this weekend. Will try to get more updates on it.

Got this during my first service. Unfortunately it has been inserted on the side. Below 2000 kms run the rev limiter light starts blinking at 5700 and glows at 6000. After 2000 kms blinking at 8200 and glows at 8500 rpm. Hope this clarifies.

Second service done today at 4193kms . Went in bit early for the the second service as the diff in number of days from 2nd to 3rd service is very less. 2nd is 240 days from purchase and 3rd is 365 days.

Svc advised for oil topup but I insisted on getting new oil fill.
All the basic things are done at the service.
Oil change , oil filter, washing full chain clean and battery terminals lubrication(to prevent rust and acid).
Total bill is 1279 INR including gst. They charged for chain clean and lubrication this time which was free at first service.

Now for the new ECU updates.
Yes there is another update available file 116 for abs and 117 for non abs. I got mine updated with file 116. There is good Change in the character of the bike now. In gear acceleration is better than before I usually use 5th gear at 65kmph but today post update i was using only 3rd without the engine feeling any kind for stress.
And whatever jerks were present at lower gears are completely gone now and bike feels happy to go all the way in each gear.

Basically as per svc this update is only for the owners facing lag jerks and missing but i still got it done and yes there is improvement in overall feel.
And i recommend every owner should get this update.

Noted one more thing and would advice every one to do the same which is to clean the front sprocket at least once a month or at every second chain clean as it is a compact space and there is lot of muck which gets collected there and can make the bike chain run heavy and can result in some pulling kind of feel.

Bajaj is really working on this bike.

Overall everything is going good and smooth.
Below are pics of service invoice and random early morning pic of the Mockingbird.

Finally fixed the clunk sound issue
when putting bike in 1 st gear

                            by reducing the throttle play
                            now its working fine😁

Please do recheck third service interval.i recall 500,5000 and 10000. I Need to rtfm but I got a call for third service, aporox 240 days 8500 on odo.
Agree on the 116 update. It's a good one.
I had to get the back brake pads replaced. They were feeling spongy and quite busted by the look of them.
