Reducing the play is not advisable always have 2 to 4mm play in throttle and clutch.

Agree on the 116 update. It's a good one.
I had to get the back brake pads replaced. They were feeling spongy and quite busted by the look of them.

Service intervals are confirmed bhai second at 4.5k to 5k kms or 240 days and 3rd at 9.5k to 10k kms or 360 days from the date of purchase. You can check your owners manual for the same.

I was aware of all the issues the forum members faced.. Because I purchased the matte black im sure my bike is from the latest lot. Im glad all the issues have been sorted out with this lot. The bike had a few Vibrations but it reduced after 300 kms and after the first service the Vibrations completely disappeared and the bike feels super refined and just going to get smoother as i clock more km. The throttle response is crisp aswell. However I have Noticed something strange. My rev limit light comes on at 5.5k but revs further. Im kinda worried, isnt the light supposed to blink at 8.5 k. The service guys told me that bajaj has done this on purpose. Doesnt 5.5k seem less for a 400cc bike? They reved another new bike and showed me the same rev limit light.Would like to know if new buyers have noticed the same? Couldnt find anything on the internet about this issue.I would like an explanation from the same. Thanks guys
Hey mate. Congrats for the bike. It is a really sweet bike and hope you see thousands of miles on it. 😊
Now, coming to the RPM limit, isn't it great that the bike is telling you not to over rev the engine for a few 100s of kms so that it can settle well? It's just like you move to a new place. You'll also take time to settle down in the new neighborhood. Patience is the key to happy miles later. I have a P220 and mine does 64 kmph @ 4000 RPM. Given Domi has a bigger heart and not so short gear ratio, I'd like to think it goes at a good speed, legal speed at and below 5500 RPM. Anyways that's not gonna stay at 5500 all the time. A little calmer right hand at the handle it all is required to have beautiful long-term relationship with the bike.

That 5.5k limiter is the new safety feature on the new batch bikes read few pages back a fellow rider has posted a pic for the same info. And yes the bike does goo speed at 5.5k rpm around 90kmph.
Posting the pic again for you reference.

Guys. Any one facing these issues?

In slow moving traffic the rpm gets locked to 2.5k when the clutch is fully pressed and throttle completely released.

If you gradually accelerate to 93+ km in 6 gear. There is a sudden drop in rpm and it fluctuates to 5k to 6.5-7k. Jerking the bike all along. (Risky on highways).

If you are decelerating from higher speeds and bring the bike down to 10km/h and downshift. Suddenly the engines dies. Had to start the engine on the go. And if we leave clutch during that time it brings about a sudden jerk.

These are the problems I am facing with new ECU update 115. Any way I can reset it back? Mereko powerloss chalega. Aisa life loss nahi chalega.

Nothing like this mine is ABS just got the new map few days back no such issues.
Get it checked they could have uploaded the wrong map or the abs one in ur bike. 115 is for non abs and 116 for abs.
Get it refalshed. And do get at complete check.
Sometimes the stalling issue comes after a new ecu flash but only for the initial ride not after that.
And this time when you get the ecu flashed again set the bike to idle for few minutes before Rollin on.

A big thanks to every single member who posted here, I booked my dom yesterday at Pioneer Bajaj Trivandrum. I am a regular visitor of this thread ever since it was started and was worried a bit too because I was unable to post much without owning one...My first bike like many here was a Bajaj pulsar 150 Non dtsi model....Switched to Honda unicorn then and been using the unicorn for the past 9 years and though I could swear by the refinement of uncorn it gave me a lot of pain in terms of maintenance .Well even then switching from Honda to Bajaj is not so common mainly because of the false perception of brands.Once again Thanks a lot guys. Will be getting the bike in two weeks.

                        Hi.
They certainly are useful as far as what I've seen from owner's reviews. However, I see that a lot of owners are facing few issues like clutch cable length being too short and poor brake feedback due to stretched brake line. The clutch cable and brake line will not have enough free length to adjust and hence becomes very tight. Just keep those issues in mind before installing or buying them.

Got the Satin Black wrap done on the center part of the tank for protection against minor scratches .
Got it done at a 3M car care center.
Costed me Rs.300 and it comes with 2 years warranty

Congrats on your bike mate.I had taken a test drive of the Dominar 400 today.Absolutely a beast. The size, power, stability & the feel was just amazing.Only one thing in my mind.I drove more in city traffic since I will be using it more in the city.In slower speed I felt a little confusing on which gear to negotiate in the traffic.2nd gear felt a little low & the 3rd gear had a knocking sound.Rest of the gear ratios seemed perfect.I thought it would be because of the reason that I was riding it for the first time. What do you make of this? I would like to know about your experience in city traffic in lower speeds.

Hello friends, following this thread since i got a little hint that i can buy a bike in near future, coming from bajaj xcd125 which use to scream even after 45-50 kmph 3 years back i wanted an re350 classic, then duke, then re himalayan but now my heart has stuck on dominar and i know after 6 months i will be wanting something else . I want this bike only for travelling nothing else for other things i have bajaj xcd and car.i took the test ride of KTM duke 250 but that was not comfortable for me, while taking TD i sprained my thighs but on dominar the comfort was awesome but the issue with dominar was that it was vibrating at 4500-5000 rpm for which speed was about 80-95 in 6th gear and this speed is basically my usable zone i dont like cruising beyond 100 but more power sometimes is appreciated but still i like the bike i was not feeling that i am riding a 373 cc bike and was handling like my xcd125 .as it was TD bike and has ran for 600 something km and rpm lock was at 5000 something can this the reason for vibrations as the rpm was locked?
