Buddy If you are thinking to buy non abs version, better is to save up and go for abs version.Originally posted by newwannaberider View PostIs it bad to buy the non abs version of domimar as i heard my friend say that it has too much power and need abs? I cant afford the abs model. If there is a concern about the abs, I'll probably get fz250 since it's less powerful

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Brilliant addition buddy. I am yet to get the Hazard light since I am a bit apprehensive about the effect it may have on the battery, but the blind spot mirrors are a blessing. I had them installed a month ago and they are similar to yours. Mine are adjustable too, so I get multiple angles on it. I have installed them at the other extreme of my mirror so that it covers a wider area.Originally posted by anwaykale View PostHi All,
A short update regarding two additions for My Dominar.
1. Installed a hazard light device which have around 50 patterns (though gonna use only 1
). And its just a plug and play so no wire cutting and a straight fit,
2. Installed blind spot mirror on existing mirror and i have to say its very useful, bought it from Amazon.
I have used them on the highways as well and they are worth the Rs 200 and then some. Basically with a riding jacket on, the inner part of our bike's mirror gets covered/blocked to a large extent by our forearms, this is where these blind spot mirrors also help a lot. Apart from this the main functionality is also highly underrated by many riders. Sometimes even SUVs creep up in blind spots and we may accidentally change lanes right in its path. These help to avoid that totally.
Good going on their installing them. Hope other riders do the same.Blood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

Where did you buy the hazard light and how much did it cost ? Can you elaborate on the plug and play ? Some pictures of it would be helpfulOriginally posted by anwaykale View PostHi All,

Actually this Hazard light unit was sourced by one of our rider friend from Delhi. It costed 630 Rs plus 150 Rs for fuse and switch to change light pattern. Will post a picture later as currently i don't have it in my phone.
And regarding the plug and play the flasher unit already had colour coded wires which were simply connected with indicators wiring of our bike which is located under rear seat. (Please refer to the youtube video which will give you the exact details)

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Booked a Dominar Red a few days ago. Awaiting delivery as yet. Opted for bumper to bumper insurance cause I am fairly new to biking as well. I had completed the PDI on the day of booking and the bike looks, sounds and feels good so far. Any precautions / suggestions for the day I will be taking delivery of the bike?
I am planning to get an anti-theft device installed. Any recommendations? The showroom guy (Khivraj, Whitefield) had asked me to visit the Khivraj Bajaj in MG Road as they have a plethora of accessories for Dominar 400 but gut says the collective wisdom of xBhpians has no match.
Thanks in advance

Power is not a direct issue here since both can do 120+ kmph It’s all about how fast and how careful you ride.Originally posted by newwannaberider View PostIs it bad to buy the non abs version of domimar as i heard my friend say that it has too much power and need abs? I cant afford the abs model. If there is a concern about the abs, I'll probably get fz250 since it's less powerful
Also even if you ride carefully there might be some situations(like rain and emergency braking) where you will need ABS for sure.
So it’s better to go for
Dominar with ABS after saving enough moneyLast edited by IntoOblivion; 02-28-2018, 06:33 PM.

its your money friend. I would rather buy less power but more safety. you dont realize it until the day someone jumps in front of your bike or you see a biker sliding down the road.Originally posted by newwannaberider View PostIs it bad to buy the non abs version of domimar as i heard my friend say that it has too much power and need abs? I'll say the same thing what others said. Wait out, save some more and get the ABS version.Originally posted by newwannaberider View PostIs it bad to buy the non abs version of domimar as i heard my friend say that it has too much power and need abs? Trust me, when it saves you (it always does) you'll thank yourself for taking that decision.
Any bike can go fast, how it handle during the panic breaking differentiates between good and bad. Which is same as accident and no accident.

DOminar ABS issue
Hi Guys . I got My Dominar 400 2018 edition about a month ago. Mine is an ABS variant and i feel there is an issue with the ABS system on the front break.
The issue is sporadic and not consistent at all. The break lever jams up for a fraction of a second the breaks dont engage, normally it requires for me to relese and pull the lever again for the breaks to work . this mostly happens when there are bad roads but it also occurs during normal highway riding. When i mentioned this to the service guy he told its normal and that is how the ABS fuctions.
Has any one else experienced this ?

Hi did this get resolved ? i am experienccing the same issue with my 2018 editionOriginally posted by Unforgiv3n biker View Post*****urgent******
Rode today from Chennai to Kadapa. Roads were horrible with unlimited no of" invisible" speedbreakers.
Bike has crossed 2.8k kms and I had no problem until today. Brake performance posed risky situations to my ride and me on my way here. I had so many near misses due to the sudden jerks. Let me explain the situation and anyone with a clear idea, please help me out.
All these days, I do used to brake hard and bike had never jerked or anything. Today also I had to brake hard several times, due to so many invisible speedbreakers all along 200kms. Bike was fine until crossing Renigunta. Then whenever I brake as I spot a speedbreaker, the bike started jerking. I stopped after a while to check if there was any rim bend because I hadn't been able to spot a few speedbreakers earlier and just ran over them. But thankfully, no problem there. Checked the brake pads and they were fine too. Kept riding the same way and as I pull the brake lever towards me to stop the bike, the lever goes out of control and pushes itself away and so does the front wheel, (seemed like the wheel was locking, but the abs light was off, so no problem there), the wheel turns to the right or left beyond my control. Due to this, I almost hit vehicles that are before me so many times, or I have to maneuver the bike to the sides to avoid colliding with them. The speed I rode at was 100-120 until tirupathi and from there on 70-90 and sometimes 40-60 due to poor road conditions.
More light on this would be appreciated. I'm staying in Kadapa and will leave on Sunday. I'm worried riding 350kms back home with this kind of brakes.
This is the first problem I face on Eternia.
