Rode 20kms in dense Bangalore traffic and i believe i can manage pretty well.

Quite excited. Thanks to this wonderful community of bikers who guided me in buying this beauty.

Hey Folks,

I have literally read through all the messages here. But, I am still super confused.

So, I basically only commute to office (<15 up and down on weekdays) and plan to head out on the open in weekends, assuming 100+ on weekends.
I currently own an Apache RTR 180 ABS, and my major requirements are reduced vibrations and a decent upgrade

Coming to the Dominar, I am slightly worried about the vibes, as I dont want another RTR level experience.
Budget is not a problem

Should I instead opt for a RR 310 or a Duke 390?

I have duke 390 2018 version and it also has vibes.

Most refined engine is honda cbr 250 and it has been relaunched.

Fun factor - duke 390
Mostly daily commute- Dominar
Vfm- honda cbr 250

Hahaha, no man, I am not going for the CBR 250 when there are so many new and updated models around.
But yes, I do predominantly use it for daily commuting. So maybe Domi is what i should be looking at.

I received detailed invoice on whatsapp from dealer, break -up of Ex-showroom price (Tamil Nadu)..

Vehicle cost - Rs 1,20,819
CGST @14% - Rs 16,914
SGST @14% - Rs 16,914
CESS 3% - Rs 3,625
-------------------------------
Total - Rs 1,58,274
-------------------------------

In short Rs 37,454 as only taxes.. Apart from this, road tax of approx Rs 12,000/-.. So the state govt earns (SGST @14% - Rs 16,914 + road tax Rs 12,000) Rs 29,000 for this model & central govt takes (CGST @14% - Rs 16,914 + CESS 3% - Rs 3,625) Rs 20,500/-.. Never thought the taxes were so huge for motorcycles..

Just imagining how much would the taxes be in-case if it is CKD model

CBR,in my opinion, is overpriced. but that's just me maybe

Had quite a ride to office today. It's very hard to keep the revs < 5k. Hoping to finish the run-in asap

Few observations when compared to my previous ride GS 150
1. Can feel heat @ signals. While riding not much different to GS. After first service this should reduce a bit
2. Can feel all the road undulations due to a stiffer front suspension. My GS was a sofa[emoji28]
3. Acceleration is quite exciting and fun. Quite different exp since GS was a very slow starter.
4. Like others mentioned, key slot is not very easily accessible. Probably i will get used to it

All in all quite happy with my purchase. Will share more after i ride more.

Yes.. With new prices, the ABS variant would be roughly 50K expensive than Dominar 400 ABS.. That is a big deal..

Yes, will be doing that today. Yesterday repeatedly asked the dealer and he confirmed that tire pressure is as per manual. Could have checked myself.
